Description
Wyverns that can stun enemies by striking their prominent crests to produce powerful flashes of light. Their stretchy, rubbery hide resists blunt impacts and reduces the effectiveness of shock traps. A smart hunter knows to manoeuvre carefully around the poisonous filth they spew, which drips from ceilings or down slopes.

  • The poison projectiles are relatively easy to avoid, but the monster's flash attack will stun you, and then follow up with its tail. Your main port of call here is Gypceros' head crest; break it to stop this annoying move.
  • The monster can fire poison pretty far and its tail has a very long reach, so staying right up close is the safest place most of the time.
  • Thunder element won't have any effect, and Gypceros cannot be paralysed, so don't bother with shock traps.
