@KilloWertz Yeah i barely replay a game either. If i do it, it is mostly when i didnt complete it the first time or if i want to replay it again because it was that good. The witcher 3 is one of the games i will play again for sure when the current gen upgrade comes. Still deciding on which platform im going to replay it, but still have time for that to decide, so will be fine.
My PSN name i just changed to Lavalera, it was some random stuff before, but wanted to put in this name. I think i have it set up as public profile, i can see myself on psnprofile so i guess thats correct.
@KilloWertz Sure no problem, just added you. Was playing around with privacy settings a while back to see what does what exactly, at least I know I didn't have it set up properly yet.
I've beat Shin Megami Tensei: III Nocturne HD Remaster via the true demon ending and I enjoyed it quite a bit.
Paul Eiding (Col Campbell from MGS) playing The Old Man in the Wheelchair AKA. Lucifer was a surprise and a half when I finally realised he was the VA for him. š
The true final boss honestly went down a lot easier then I remembered it going and that was even with me having a magatama on demi fiend that didn't block ailments so I had to waste a few extra turns having to heal stun a number of times.
Probably didn't help I ended up grinding forever to get the trophy for Max stats on the MC (Which was such a slog even when using merciful for x3 exp gain!) so Demi fiend was somewhere in the 110-120 lvl range I think (It only shows to lvl 99 but goes up to 255) so I was doing a bit of extra damage too then normal š
Still it was enjoyable time aside from that slight grind and I'll definitely go and get the other endings for it too (and I'll eventually pop the platinum because of that grinding I did for it here and now).
Definitely gonna try a hard mode run at some point and maybe even try a challenge run or two (on normal cus I'm not that masochistic ) and see how those turn out.
... Not sure what I'll play next though.
I was thinking of maybe continuing the Atlus hype train I've got going and finally revisting Persona 3 FES after so many years... But I still have a number of PS4 games I've not even got round to starting yet like YS VIII and a bunch of others.
Just finished Judgment on PS4 after 48 hours of playtime. It's honestly one of the best "Yakuza" games I've played. Yakuza 0 and 6 are at the top of my list, and I find Judgment to be at that level of greatness. The story was so engrossing and well-crafted, the gameplay was more varied compared to the Yakuza series due to the detective/Ace Attorney elements, there were so many memorable and likeable characters, and it was overall a great Yakuza package. I managed to complete 48 side cases and befriend 47 people out of 50 respectively and felt pretty content with ending it there.
Despite having played almost 10 Yakuza games now, I was pleasantly surprised to find this game to be a refreshing spinoff to the series. It did enough to distinguish itself from the Yakuza series and managed to tell a more compelling story with varied gameplay than most of the main series titles. Absolutely phenomenal game which I highly recommend, especially to those who haven't touched the Yakuza series and are looking for a good starting point without feeling intimidated by the amount of titles in the series.
Oh no apologies needed @RogerRoger... After all I haven't got back to your reply in the movie thread from over a week ago. I'm so sorry about such a delay š Though it did seem to spawn a good discussion!
To tell you the truth I actually thought Paul Eiding was a different voice actor at first just putting on an slightly raspy old man voice. He only had like one line at the beginning so I never really got to hear him properly til the finale where I finally made the connection.
I've only heard him in one other role I think besides' Col Campbell (Dark Chronicle (Dark Cloud 2 in the US) if you were curious)... So he'll always be Roy to me lol
With the whole PS Plus new service thing and then Sony mentioning some games you'll be able to seperately purchase (And some previous PS3 PS1 classics purchases being honoured) Metal Gear Solid has surely gotta be one right? Be nice to play that with some extra little polish on PS4/5 š
... Shame the rest of the series is still pretty much bound to PS3 though with their newest versions.
I'm doing okay thanks @RogerRoger in regards to work but I have rascally little Ash (who's huge now) so she takes up a lot of my free time with how energetic she is. š„
Yeah I was in the middle of The Legend Of Dragoon on PS3 via the PS1 classic but with this whole situation I'm waiting to see what the deal is before I commit going any further.
I would like to write a review for LoD (Good lord it's been a long while since I wrote one) so if it does come to PS4/5 it'd help soSO much if I can take screenshots of it š .
... Not to mention a potential little resolution bump and save states would be a nice little bonus too!
HallowMoonshadow Well, at least okay is okay! Bless not-so-little-anymore Ash, though. I'm sure she can be a handful, but I'm equally sure you wouldn't trade a minute spent with her, right?
... You in the market for a dog who's quite the card Rog?
Just kidding. Though she is a bit more of a handful then I was anticipating her to be. My poor garden has a ring stomped into it from how much she loves zoomin' round it
Heh well great minds think alike!
I did purchase Metal Gear Solid on PS3 for like a £2 or something at some point so i'd certainly give that a playthrough if it makes the jump as it's been forever (I did attempt it sometime last year but admitedly I'm not that fond of the PS & Dualshock 3. The PS & DS4 have spoiled me lol).
Hell I'd even like to replay Soul Reaver myself to see if my thoughts have changed on it.
... Just... trying to not get my hopes up at the moment in case these or any of the others that tickle my fancy are exclusively tied to PS Plus Premium. Cus I ain't paying for that no matter how much I love The Legend Of Dragoon š
@LtSarge Iām glad you enjoyed it in the end! And I agree with much of what you said. There is a cool side mission if you get all of the friends but I wouldnāt go chasing it if youāve had your fill of the game.
Iām looking forward to getting around to the sequel as Iāve heard itās even better
@Thrillho Oh that's cool, but yeah I've pretty much moved on from the game now. Still, it's nice that there's a reward at the end of that.
My expectations for the sequel is really high actually since the developer pretty much nailed the first entry, which isn't surprising because they've been making these games for so long now. So I'm hoping the sequel adds lots of new stuff that will make it even better than the first game.
On a side note, I really can't get enough of the Yakuza games. As I mentioned before, I've played almost 10 games and I still want more. There's just something about this series that keeps you coming back for more. So I'm glad that I have Like a Dragon, Lost Judgment and First of the North Star to look forward to, and hopefully more games are on the way. I would even love to see those samurai Yakuza games getting localised here in the West. Getting to meet characters like Kiryu and Majima again would be so lovely.
@LtSarge so good to see other people as enthousiastic about Yakuza as I am. I started the series only when Lad went live and that was my first one. After that I went through 0 to 6 and bitje judgements and I wonder why I never played them before. Didn't expect to love them so much in advance but it turned out to become my favorite game series. Only have fist of the north star to go.
Lost Judgment for me was even better than the first one, especially with the dlc. There was so much more to do in that one.
Have fun playing those last few hope you'll enjoy them.
@LtSarge The only criticism Iād have for Judgment is those horrible tailing missions.. But yeah, the āYakuzaā games are great fun and, like yourself, Iāve also got LaD to play as well.
What are the other games youāve played to make it āalmost tenā? Itās the seven main games and Judgment for me.
@Lavalera Thanks mate, I'm sure I will. These games are just an absolute treat! Would love to hear your thoughts on Fist of the North Star as I don't know many who've played that game yet.
@Thrillho I'm honestly used to tailing missions after having played so many Assassin's Creed games now lol. So I wasn't bothered by them in Judgment at all.
Same here with Yakuza 0-6, Judgment but also Yakuza Dead Souls on PS3 for me. Dead Souls is easily the worst Yakuza game but it's still a good game since all Yakuza games are good. Worth playing just to play as Majima again and kill some zombies.
@LtSarge fist of the north star will be next in line to play after I finished Lego star wars. When I'll get around paying it I'll post my opinion on here.
I hope the older ones will get a port or remake as well. The older side ones I didn't play since I only have acces to a ps5 so let's hope RGG will bring them to modern systems one day.
@RogerRoger So, we'll likely be even on the series soon enough. I still have yet to play Life is Strange 2, but once I'm done with Cyberpunk 2077, True Colors is my next game. I imagine I will play it before you, so then Life is Strange 2 will be the only game in the series I've yet to play.

Just finished Wolfenstein: Youngblood. Overall I liked it⦠the story and characters were pretty terrible but yāall know that doesnāt bother me too much. It plays real solid and thatās where it counts for me. Iāll look forward to playing the earlier (and by general consensus better) games in the series over the next couple of years.
From what I gather Iāll still have a good few hours (like 20-30 by all accounts) grind for the plat⦠but when did that ever stop me. š
