@CJD87 ahh, I’m sure you’ll be fine mate… if anything, it’ll just teach you to learn the systems even quicker than muddling through on a lesser difficulty.
The Order 1886. Got as far as the Zeppelin crashing, before uninstalling. I tried, I really tried, but I just couldn't warm up to the game. Too much 'walking through treacle' and the gunplay was half-hearted at best. But it looked nice, and had an interesting premise, just not enough to keep me hooked.
Still playing Mass Effect 3, very close to the end now and just doing the citadel dlc for the first time after doing the Leviathan DLC for the first ever time.
When I played them originally when they were released the DLCs weren't available and for a long time I was against DLC's as I seen them as a bit of a con, until Horizon Zero Dawn, that was the first time I did DLC and thought wow this really did feel part of the game and necessary.
Anyway as I've been doing the dlc on mass effect for the first time I've realised (especially for ME3) just how important the actually DLC content actually is, I mean most of it feels like it was actually intended to be part of the story, especially picking up Javick and the leviathan story seem now an integral part of the game and the whole story.
Should DLC like this be part of the game that we get anyway, I mean if its so critical wouldn't you as a game developer want all players to have access to it.
I'm all for DLC that you pay for that is extra weapons, cosmetics and extra missions to continue enjoying the experience, a bit like the Ghost of Tsushima dlc or the Assassins Creed Oddesy DLC which adds an extra layer if your still wanting more out of that particular game but for something like the leviathan dlc which seems such an integral part of the story and almost like they couldn't fit it in, in time for release should we be expected to pay for stuff like this?
Disclaimer, this isn't a whinge or anything I absolutely love Mass Effect, its one if my favourite gaming trilogies of all time, just more of a thought/reflection
@MaulTsir The Shadow Broker DLC for ME2 is also mightily impressive and fairly important to the whole story. Luckily that was included in the game that released on PS3.
The Arrival DLC was also great and a perfect bridge from ME2 to ME3.
Epic Chef
My Zest was already level 50, have unlocked some Synergy bonus for certain ingredients.
Still have to work on raising the Restaurant Prestige points until 50 to continue the storyline.
@RogerRoger
I played Epic Chef PS4 just now. 😉
I continued the storyline progress to hunt the Dragon to get Dragon egg for Cooking Battle with Exotico and Fantasia as my opponents.
Thinking the right combination of ingredients to create dishes with high points on Vigor or Spirit or Sophistication flavor was pretty challenging as the judging taste and dishes wroma will determine who will win the cooking battle.
It was about Math, calculating the number of flavors in addition, subtraction and multiplication.
I really need to transfer this from my PS4 to my PS5 and give the game another shot at some point this year. I tried it on my Xbox a year or two ago and it just didn't click with me for some reason, despite loving the first two games. Maybe I'm just meant to play them on PlayStation or something.

My mum’s now onto Black Flag after finishing, and really enjoying, Assassin’s Creed III. She’s not quite sold on the ship stuff yet but the environments are really beautiful and you forget how many great actors are in the voice cast. Also realised that one of the sea shanties is the same tune as ‘Come Out Ye Black And Tans’ which made us laugh!
I'm not generally the biggest Falcom fan, but Ys VIII was shockingly good, even thought I primarily experienced it through the questionable Switch port. Absolutely loved everything about it.
BTW, I've noticed the sale price has gone up dramatically since they announced the PS65 port, lol.
@Sam_ATLUS i''m also playing through that one now. i'm very far in and absolutely loving the game. The action and music are all very good and the story while starting slow is pretty good as well.
@Ralizah I'm about 7 hours in and really enjoying it. I'm playing on PS5 and honestly I don't think the game needs a PS5 release, it looks pretty good for me and even with tips the loading times are nearly instant. Glad I got a copy cheap before they went up. I'm gonna play Ys IX when I'm finished with it and look at other Falcom games to try.
@Lavalera I got to the first area and the music impressed me immediately with how good it was especially for that early on. Combat is fun too and the story is taking it's time to build up but still fun discovering new areas in the island and rescuing all these characters.
... My internet has been really spotty the past few weeks (Hence why I wasn't here) and the CMOS battery (I think that's the name?) went in my PS3 so I couldn't authenticate the time and date & play Legend Of Dragoon on PS3 ... So I ended up playing this (Though I really should've resumed played FFIX)
I've really powered through this though.
I'm at the Diet building already at only 33 hours or so of play
Which honestly feels very off to me as it feels easier on normal (even if I've played this numerous times on PS2), I feel like I'm overlevelled too (with me trying to not do too many battles) and the game has felt wwwwaaaaaay shorter so far too.
Trying to go for the neutral/Freedom/Rebirth? route (I'm not actually sure of the canon name for it) that I've never got before.
... And then True Demon End cus of course I am 😈
Gotta admit I've been pretty impressed with the voice acting actually as I'm so used to playing it without it.
In fact I'd say almost all of them feel right for the character too (Especially Chiaki and Isamu's VA's) though the shopkeepers though can really grate with their repetitive canned responses.
▪ I didn't think much of Hikawa's VA at first but I think I've warmed up to him a little and his performance.
▪I think Futomimi's isn't great though and I'm a bit mixed at Sakahagi too.
▪ Talesin Jaffe as the Cathedral of Shadows guy feels weird. But he's pretty hammy in the role too and it works despite it being a bit jarring to me personally lol
Honestly there's a LOT more voice acting then I was expecting which is really nice. Even if Nocturne doesn't have reams and reams of character dialogue it does add quite a bit to the experience I've found (and was quite happy with the PS2's no voice acting).
Oh ... Dante's the better guest (and honestly fits the setting better too (sorry Raidou)). Real shame he's locked behind DLC unlike the PS2 version though I guess I can understand the reasoning (even if I don't like it (or Atlus' DLC practices in general))
