@colonelkilgore Wasn't saying anyone was right or wrong in the way we approach our games, or anything along those lines. Just saying that is how I do it, that is all.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.

@TheBrandedSwordsman Mostly I’m busy with some work projects and having to do a little travel. I have some optimism that tonight I’ll have the mental energy left to dive into some gaming. But some days I feel too wiped out and prefer some passive entertainment like TV or going for a walk.
I’ve still got FF7R on deck, so anytime after I finish either Returnal or Plague Tale, I’ll be ready to put a new game in the rotation, but as long as you continue to enjoy it and want to see it through to the end, RDR2 will have you busy for many more hours. I think my playtime was in the neighborhood of 80 hrs.
I forgot — have you played the first RDR?

@colonelkilgore I think my playthroughs of both Persona 4 and Persona 5 had a multi-year break in the middle (although I don’t think quite 4 years, but maybe 2 or 3). And I ended up enjoying both games immensely. For me, longer games with similar gameplay loops are tough to make all the way to the end completion without drifting away for a little while.
Edit: I just confirmed with my trophy list and actually both Personas I was about 3.5 years between first trophy and last trophy. It looks like for Persona 4 I took two year long breaks between sessions on the game. There’s a group of trophies then a year later another group of trophies, then a year later another group of trophies 😅
@Th3solution yeah definitely how it’s been for me with this… I was considering starting it over from scratch but I honestly think I’d get to around the same point and feel burned out again, where as this way, I’ll finish the game and I’ll be left with a pleasant memory of it. This could be the way forward on longer games.
@Th3solution I think I will want to see RDR2 through to the end, I haven't played the first one in the series but know that the second is meant to be kind of a prequel to that game, so, yeah, i'm not missing out on anything story-wise. Anyway, go ahead with FF7 Remake, then hopefully you'll still remember it clearly enough to guide me through it by the time I come to it after RDR2!

@Th3solution Also I hope you get through your work projects and get your traveling done with as little stress as possible, so you can game again with wild abandon in the next few weeks/months!

@Jimmer-jammer Congrats on your plat, the only one I have is for My Name Is Mayo 🤣 ever played that one? Easiest plat on the PS4 by far. Old West Fantasy sounds good. Were you hunting and fishing whilst in that countryside that looks so much like your own homestead?

@Jimmer-jammer Also, like you say, the game really opens up at that point. Would you say that's the first time where it's truly open-world and you have a lot more freedom about what you can choose to do in the game?

Seeing as Pathfinder: Kingmaker is a rather long game... I'm gonna break it up with a smaller game on the side and have decided to play Uncharted 2: Among Thieves as well.
... So far I'm finding Uncharted 2 a lot more interesting then the first game.
▪ The in medias res set up with the train was nice.
▪ Harry's a lot more interesting character and I like that he's a villainous foil for Drake (And I just realised his voice actor is Alastair from Dragon Age)
▪ I really like Chloë more then Elena too (Who I thought was rather milquetoast and uninteresting to be perfectly honest)
I've heard this is typically the highlight of the series for most and whilst I still find the combat sections go on a bit too long (The 3rd person cover based shooting is admitedly not my cup of tea) I'm a lot more interested in it then the first game (Though that still was an enjoyable enough romp).
The treasures seem to be a lot harder to find in this one too compared to the first... Though I did somehow find the Strange Relic easy enough! 😅
@Foxy-Goddess-Scotchy yeah Uncharted 2 (& 3 even though doesn’t seem to get as much love) is excellent. It was a massive leap forward from the original.
@TheBrandedSwordsman Thanks, my friend. I appreciate the encouragement. I’ve got some new stress in my life that I’m trying not to let get to me. Your words are actually timely. I hope a little gaming this weekend occurs so I can escape a little.
I don’t know about when FF7R’s number will be called for me, but I’ll definitely let you know. Even if one of us gets there first, it will be fun to share impressions when it happens. 😄
@Foxy-Goddess-Scotchy I’ve planned to revisit UC2 now for several months. It’s one of my fondest PS3 memories. For some reason I can’t remember if this is a replay for you or the first time experiencing it. It’ll be interesting to compare notes with @NedStarksGhost who is also playing it now and is new to the series.
Ha ha well I'm glad to teach you a new word @Thrillho! 😄
As I was just going to say to @colonelkilgore@Th3solution I've only played Uncharted 3 before in the series and that was purely because it came with my Super Slim PS3 (And I honestly don't remember much of UC3 either (though I did enjoy it))
Otherwise I haven't touched the games before and the only reason I have the Uncharted collection on PS4 is because of Sony giving it away last year in the whole Play At Home initiative with Journey
Still 2's definitely an improvement to me over the first and I'm looking forward to revisiting the 3rd soon enough!

If I recall correctly, one of the starting classes in Bloodborne was milquetoast. No, I had no idea what it was either. In my head it reads 'milk n toast' which is not helpful.

Started The Division 2 today and after an hour or two of not really feeling it, it’s starting to click. I’m playing it with a mate who I played through Remnant from the Ashes with… not sure I’m gonna enjoy this as much as that but I’m definitely starting to like it.
Decided to play something laid back that I can do at my own pace, so I'm revisiting Red Dead II in an attempt to get the trophy for studying every animal in the game. It's a big undertaking, but one I'm enjoying so far.
Meanwhile, Sackboy: A Big Adventure is complete, but that final Knitted Knight Trial... wow.
Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.
Started playing Life is Strange: Before the Storm. I kept putting this off for years for some reason even though I enjoyed the first one. Figured I'd finally play it so I'm ready for True Colors whenever I am able to get to it.
