@themcnoisy Oof. When I buy games, it's either at launch or after the sale price has fully depreciated. It helps me to avoid the aggravation of exactly this sort of situation.

@RogerRoger tbh it's possibly the least fun I've ever had with a Mario-related game.

I might peck away at the game here or there. I've heard the story is decent, so I'm curious if it gets better over time.

Currently Playing: Resident Evil Village: Gold Edition

Current backlog:
Red Steel 2 (Wii)
Team Sonic Racing (PS4)
Night in the Woods (Switch)
The Evil Within (PS4)

Upcoming purchases:
Rabbids Go Home (Wii)
Mario Party Superstars (Switch)

Don't really have many planned purchases since I mostly buy games when they go on sale or when they arrive in stock (in terms of used games, such as Rabbids Go Home).

In terms of my current backlog, I'm almost done with Red Steel 2, I'm roughly halfway through both Team Sonic Racing and Night in the Woods respectively, and tomorrow I'll be starting up The Evil Within as part of Pure Xbox Game Club. Really looking forward to playing through this game as horror has become one of my favourite genres in gaming and tomorrow is the the beginning of the month of Halloween after all, so I'm excited to play through some horror titles. I'm actually planning on starting up another Wii game after Red Steel 2 but I still haven't decided on which one yet, which is why I didn't put one on the list. The ones I'm interested in playing are Pikmin 2 and Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure, so I'll most likely be starting up either one of those.

@Foxy-Goddess-Scotchy I'd say by 2026. Then get a PS5 since Horizon Zero Dawn is better on it now that it plays at 60 FPS on it.

@Foxy-Goddess-Scotchy @RogerRoger lol one of my teacher friends had a birthday yesterday. When I asked her how she'd be spending it, she replied bluntly: "Grading papers." Although apparently things have calmed down since last year, where she had extra duties thanks to changes they had to make to classes once covid exploded across the states.

I'll be playing the potato version of Forbidden West with long load times and 30fps on my PS4, Foxy. We can compare notes!

@RogerRoger We spent some time together the previous day. But, yeah, I couldn't be that constantly busy without burning out quickly!

@Foxy-Goddess-Scotchy Honestly, I didn't care whether a game was 30 FPS or 60 FPS as long as it was stable until I started playing more games on the PS5. I think the only game I chose to play in 30 FPS was Miles Morales, and that was because I had just played the DLC from the first one that way and was used to it.

You are in that position right now where you don't know any better, so it doesn't matter. Not a criticism even though it sounds like it. The extremely faster load times still matter more to me, but I'm still liking 60 FPS the more I play. I'd imagine you will too when the time comes.

@Keith_Zissou ‘That’s ages away’ I said to myself. And then had a panic attack realising that I’ve barely started buying for Christmas and it’s really not long at all until 2022.

@Keith_Zissou welcome to the cult (just don't sup the cool-aid 😉). That's gonna be a busy year of gaming right there... but a fun one. Some great games and series for sure.

I'm gonna try and de-clutter my PS4 hard drive so I can help you get the co-op trophies for Farcry 4... and if you really want to try an online game, I have The Division 2 on the back-burner and would appreciate a hand grinding out that plat if you fancy it... absolutely no pressure though. Also, as someone who is not overly fond of multiplayer games, I can't praise Remnant from the Ashes enough.

Glad you're enjoying Aragami, the fact that you're having so much fun will probably bump it up my schedule a bit I reckon.

I know this is going to be a boring post, but if I listed my true backlog, I'd be here all day and make 0 progress. It would also be depressing. Still, I'm working my way through a bit of my Xbox backlog now on my Series X with Scarlet Nexus, then onto The Medium, and probably Doom Eternal finally after that.

@Keith_Zissou ahh that’s a bummer… still, at least you found two games that you’re enjoying.

Yeah no rush on The Division 2 bud, I got more than enough on the plate for the time being. Think I picked it up real cheap (like £7 or something), so it’ll only get cheaper as the months pass.

I’m gonna try and install Farcry 4 this week, so I’ll let you know 👍

@Keith_Zissou well you know how much I loved Farcry 5, definitely let me know how that goes.

Wow, didn't realise it's been quite some time since my last update!

Previous backlog:
Red Steel 2 (Wii) - Finished
Team Sonic Racing (PS4) - Halfway through the campaign, but it's on hold for now
Night in the Woods (Switch) - Finished
The Evil Within (PS4) - Finished

Previous upcoming purchases:
Rabbids Go Home (Wii) - Not purchased, although I'm not planning to buy it anymore
Mario Party Superstars (Switch) - Purchased

Current backlog:
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones (3DS)
Call of Duty: Black Ops (360)
Shadow of the Colossus (PS4)
Kingdom Hearts III (PS4)

Upcoming purchases:
Grandia (Vita)
Lunar: Silver Star Harmony (Vita)
Odin Sphere Leifthrasir (PS4)
Oninaki (PS4)

I'm more than halfway through Fire Emblem so I'll probably finish it up within the next week at this rate. This game is just straight up addicting, lol. I'm already over 20 hours into it. Black Ops won't take that long to finish so I might wrap it up next week as well. In terms of the PS4 titles, depending on which one gets chosen for Game Club, I'll either be playing SotC or KH3 next. I tend to play Kingdom Hearts games near Christmas time as it's just such a magical experience to play Disney-related games during Winter. This will also be the last KH game for me, so I'm really excited to play through it. Probably won't start it until I've finished Fire Emblem though as I don't want to play two RPGs at the same time.

Once again, I'm quite unsure if I'll be buying the above games as I'm in a JRPG mood now but I might lose interest and move to something else, which means that I may not get them. I haven't bought these games yet because I've been buying a lot of games lately and considering that Black Friday is coming up, I'm hoping the PS4 titles will be discounted. Speaking of which, I might get other games during Black Friday week but right now it's hard to tell which ones without knowing which games will be discounted.

@RogerRoger I'm just not in a mood to play Wii games anymore. You probably recall when I played through Red Steel 2 a couple of months ago and that made me want to buy a bunch of Wii games that I hadn't gotten yet. But seeing as how no used copy had shown up for Rabbids Go Home during this time, I never bought it and I didn't feel like keeping it on my watchlist anymore. It's not like I've become uninterested in the game, I'll probably get it eventually if it ever shows up and I'm in the right mood.

Just bought TLOU2 and RE8 on the black Friday sale!
So now I have those two games plus Desperadoes 3 on my PS4 backlog and GOT: Directors Cut, LIS: True Colours Ultimate Edition and ME: Andromeda (when really cheap) on my Wishlist.

TBH, those 8 games will easily last me until Christmas 2022, when I hope to get a PS5.

Ok so whilst I've been having a break from Pushsquare, Dreams and power gaming; hopefully I'm back for a bit. I've just had heart surgery and feel flipping awesome. Don't need to give y'all my sob stories but I have not been at my best for a while after having a heart attack earlier this year. I'm a lot better now and in a much better place mentally. If anyone was wondering what happened, since falling ill early last year I've had a bunch of ongoing issues which are mostly sorted or will be sorted early next year through additional surgery. It's a load of crap and I really appreciate the shouts some of you have made to me during this time especially @RogerRoger and @th3solution and my Dreams pals (who I don't think use Pushsquare). Big shout to @kyroki for playing RL with me and the rest of you motley crew for just being awesome. Here is my current backlog;

Minesweeper genius - push for the plat
Adventure capatilist - get some of the moon trophies
Borderlands 2 - get up to and beat Tiny Tina's dlc

@themcnoisy I’m sure glad you have your heart and your health better, boss! I can definitely relate, as although I’ve not had heart surgery this year, I’ve had my own brand of challenges. I’ve been in and out of PushSquare and gaming, but mostly have kept one foot in the door. For me, a combo of job problems, pandemic madness, and family challenges, and things aren’t quite ready to slow down yet, and so my backlog progress has slowed down substantially the last couple months. I still always find refuge in gaming, just not as often as I’d like.

Good to have you back, my friend.

And Borderland 2 is a classic and I enjoyed my time with it, including Tiny Tina’s DLC!

@themcnoisy Bloody hell, heart surgery’s no small thing! Glad to hear you’re doing better, it just wouldn’t be the same without you.
