it is quite telling when just the logo of the PS5 can attract more attention than the actual reveal of the next xbox system (although the next xbox's dumb naming system doesn't help it much)

i wouldn't like to be the xbox division when Sony ACTUALLY show the PS5 in full

And just like that, eyes are back on Sony.
They just know how to get all the attention.
So even if the PS5 does turn out to be a little less powerful than the Xbox, it will still have the majority mindshare amongst console gamers.

Love the logo or hate it its generated more buzz than the Xbox Console reveal. But when you consider the install base ratio of PS4 to XB1 this actually makes sense.

I don’t care about the brand. I’m back and forth between which console I choose. I went from PS2, to Xbox 360, back to PS4, and unless Sony stops flooding the system by re-releasing the third-person, story-driven, action-adventure games, with a sad story and over-the-shoulder camera & starts giving us variety with their games like the good old days I’m probably going with the Xbox or no console. Platformers, shooters, fighting, strategy, and co-op couch playable (don’t know why those ever fell out of favor) games like the good days. JRPGs are the only reason I have a PS4. Everything else is boring to me now.

It seems ps5 will be a monster in not only specs but also sales

Oh, and don't forget games too, god of war 2, horizon zd 2, spider-man 2, plus next ND, SP and Bend studio games, I seriously can't wait for it to be announced

@QualityGeezer well they have been for years, first the play anywhere program (buy a xbox game and get the P.C version free) and then the game pass program

but it must be working for them at the end of the day otherwise they would drop it

@Shepard93n7 HZD2 is THE game I want to see in PS5... If at launch we get to see at least a tech demo of what HZD2 could be...

@FullbringIchigo I wonder if it really is working for them or are they just at a point where they cant back out now. Kinda like Sony and the Free Online situation on PS3 they had to commit but it was costing them.

It is not the logo people care about,but rather it is like its a huge announcement. Playstation has a huge fan base and only a tiny fraction of them follow the news on places like this. So a big logo reveal like this is an official announcement to the masses on IG. It probably is the first time many heard the ps5 is coming out.

I'm a massive ps fan but if the rumours are true I won't be getting one at launch I'll wait for the ps5 Pro and get the xbox series x first never thought I'd ever say that
