A tale of souls and swords
Yes! The rumours were right! Bandai Namco has officially announced SoulCalibur VI with a gameplay trailer. Much like Tekken 7, the game will be using Unreal Engine 4, and it even seems to have the same slow motion mechanic. Nice.
The best part is that SoulCalibur VI isn't even that far away -- it's supposedly coming to PlayStation 4 in 2018.
Consider us hyped.

This is a pleasant surprise. I thought SoulCalibur was dead after the poor reception of SCV, with Lost Swords and that other thing just digging it deeper.

I mean, I don’t know. I used to love soul Calibur (I am rare in that I think 3 was the best!).

YES! This is now easily one of my most hyped games for 2017.
Hopefully they comfirm the character creator is still in, because honestly, that is probably my favorite part of the series.

I use to like this series but none of the others after 2 could grab me like 2 did. Also the guest characters have just been bad lately. Still though I will at least rent this game at some point.

Yeeeeeeeah!! Oh man, so excited for this. Hope there are some more longevity-adding features this time around like the branching storylines and dungeon modes from SC3.
One of my favorite games from the days of PS2 - I'm glad that Soul Calibur is making its way onto PS4, can't wait to play once again with Taki (nice rack), Mitsurugi, Sophitia or Maxi, but all other characters were interesting enough to keep me busy finding their ultimate weapons. Since the first ever match that I played on PS1 (when the game was called Soul Blade) it hooked me on and no Tekken, no SF could distract me from it

Finally! The SC series has been a bit hit and miss lately, but hopefully this one returns the series to PS2 and SC2 level quality.
