Rumour: Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite's Roster Readies Up

If this list is true, it's disappointing.
CAPCOM will grab this opportunity to grab more cash for characters that were always available in past games (X-Men characters and Dr. Doom).
And no Asura? Really?

I friggin hate pre-planned dlc. If they wanna give it to us a couple months down the line that's fine, but knowing about dlc before launch? That sucks. I know this information was leaked, but injustice and mortal Kombat were guilty of it as well. Heck, so was Guilty Gear, and I love that game! What ever happened to unlockable characters?

Regardless, I want to get this game, but probably not at full price. I'm glad that Gamora and Groot are in, but where's my Star Lord love? I don't really care about X Men. Also, give us Claire or Leon, that would be awesome.

A very poor list. No Black Widow? A distinct lack of female fighters there

This is pretty disappointing when you think back to m v c 3 roster. Where are Viewtiful Joe, Amaterasu, Phoenix Wright, Deadpool, Taskmaster etc. And then if you are going to include guardians of the galaxy, why no Drax or Star Lord?

Couple that with the well documented lack of xmen and fantastic 4; plus the fact characters are already being locked away under dlc then you have another anaemic release. Did capcom learn nothing.from sfv?

Will consider an ultimate edition 12 months after release when the game is complete.

That's a really naff list, especially since most of these are reworked MvC3 characters. Also 2 Ghost and Goblins in a list of 14 Capcom characters? Hoping it's just pre-E3 fakes.

@NinjaWaddleDee Yup, planned DLC like this is just content that was cut out of a full price release to then sell back to gamers at a later date. Why not a full roster and then maybe release more a few months down the line?

@get2sammyb The leak also states that there might be more than 1 season pass, that mutants and the F4 are absent due to the fact that marvel had boycott on them due to fox at the time of deciding the roster, but that boycott is already over and they may still get into the game as dlc or an update.

This list is absolutely dire. Awful selection and they've ditched so many good characters, which no doubt we'll have the privilege of being able to buy back at some point. Only four female characters too? As a longtime MvC fan this is absolutely gutting. If it's true I won't even consider buying it until there's a version that includes all the bonus content. At least we've still got Ultimate MvC3.

@Rudy_Manchego I like how Smash 4 did it. That game didn't get dlc for 6 months, and people were excited because of it.

There will be more, it will all be on the disc, and it will be worth waiting a year to pick up the GOTY edition.

@Cassetticons Sorry, but the guy who leaked the list is the guy who gave 100% true leaks in the past, including the game's announcement, 2v2 gameplay and other stuff.

@NinjaWaddleDee Exactly and I am sure that people that didn't purchase the DLC were more than happy with the initial purchase. That is fine but chopping characters out to make more cash is just low imo.

The likes of X-Men and the Fantastic 4 aren't in it because of Marvel not having the movie licenses for them, so they want to downplay those properties.

Six DLC characters at launch? Disgusting Capcom, disgusting.

Yes it's all about the MCU now, so no deadpool makes sense. But come on no Megaman?

If this is the final vanilla list then I am dehyped by a bit only 28 fighters?!? And no "giant" fighters like in TvC I thought that mechanic was awsome......

.. and the actual list is quite meh... all the marvel fighters are MCU based and that will be the focus for the DLC

And the capcom side is rather uninspired for me and still missing captain commando and jin (my original team) and some of the MVC3 cast who were worthy (ameratsu, vewtifull Joe and trish)
