Intriguing Japanese role-playing game I Am Setsuna has been given a confirmed release date in Europe and North America - and the good news is that it's not too far off. The upcoming PlayStation 4 title is constantly compared to the likes of Chrono Trigger - arguably one of the best RPGs ever made - and strives to bring traditional RPG mechanics to the new generation.
Sporting an explorable world map, an airship, turn based combat, and a story that's supposedly filled with sorrow, I Am Setsuna is the first project of Square Enix's recently founded Tokyo RPG Factory studio, and it'll be available from the 19th July here in the West.

Gonna have to at least check this out, been so long since we have a good traditional console rpg it might be worth a play through.
Digital only?
Day 1, most likely!

O God I'm gonna have to buy this and somehow find the time to seriously play this one but with so many massive rpg titles demanding my time it'll be a miracle if I do
Those were the glory days of JRPG, but if I'm going to buy a game like that today it's going to have to priced like those are today, $20, not $60.
I don't like them standing all in a line though. Games like Eternal Sonata and Grandia 2 were still turn based and menu driven like these but having the characters run around the enemies - not block based, just running, I'm not a big fan of strategy games - added a whole other level of interest to the battles. Everybody standing in line in FFX just seemed stupid even way back then. Grandia 2 is still the best.

Wish we were getting the vita version.. Even with its performance issues. This just screams handheld to me.
@fchinaski Seems like it, yeah.
