Here's some nice news to start your afternoon off right: Grand Kingdom, a tactical, pretty looking role-playing game from Spike Chunsoft - the company behind the likes of Danganronpa - is heading to Europe and North America this summer. NIS America will act as the title's publisher.
So, what's it all about? Featuring both single player and multiplayer modes, Grand Kingdom sees you take control of a mercenary group, and has you take part in turn based combat. Apparently, you'll have to arrange your troops using formations and then strike out with coordinated attacks - you'll be spilling blood so that you can expand your kingdom's territory. Being the head of a mercenary group, you'll also be completing quests to gain the favour of each nation. It certainly sounds like a neat concept, with the land being split between four different countries that are each vying for dominion.
Do you suddenly find yourself interested in this one? Watch the announcement trailer, give the embedded screenshots a look, and feel free form your own group of ragtag mercenaries in the comments section below.

Wow it looks right up my alley. And kinda looks Vanillaware-ish, even if it's not by them...

Perfect for vita. Day 1!
more vita love!
I'm excited, spike hasn't let me down yet.
Where's the gameplay? Arystyle looks neat, but we need a touch more than that.
@Feena Exactly! Vanillaware! I actually thought this was a better-late-than-never English release of Grand Knights History, but then I saw it was a new title by Spike Chunsoft! Even better, imho!
Looks vanillaware...
@kupo aww god I'd love for Grand Knight History to be localised. A RPG with Vanillaware graphics...just where do I sign.
