Don't pull that face. Yes, we know Push Rewind is very much a Sunday night staple – but this weekend was an abnormally busy one for everyone in the office, so cut us some slack. It goes without saying, then, that there's a lot to recap in this week's feature, including the announcement of Call of Duty: Black Ops III. Are you sitting comfortably? Then we'll begin.

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China - 6/10

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China is an absolutely solid spin-off in almost every way. Traversal is fluid and fun, combat is enjoyably simple, and the level design is often lovingly crafted, but it never comes close to stepping out of its comfort zone and trying something remotely memorable. Even outside of Ubisoft's main series, the confining walls of Assassin's Creed remain recognisable and reliable, but they're in increasingly desperate need of a new lick of paint.

LA Cops - 4/10

LA Cops has inoffensive intentions, but its execution is as flawed as its characters' fashion sense. The pleasant presentation represents the still-edible icing on this otherwise stale, circular snack – but glaring design issues have left us close to dialling 911.

Feature: 7 Things You Need to Know About Call of Duty: Black Ops III on PS4

It only feels like yesterday that we were tapping away on pre-release stories for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, but Call of Duty: Black Ops III has now deftly double-jumped into the headlines. We already knew a fair amount about the first-person shooter courtesy of leaks, of course, but now we can drop some official intel on the forthcoming PlayStation 4 sequel. Is it shaping up to be a meaningful successor to Sledgehammer Games' divisive futuristic foray? Here's everything that you need to know right now.

First Impressions: How Brutal Is The Elder Scrolls Online's Combat in Its PS4 Beta?

Combat in The Elder Scrolls series has never been brilliant, despite the fact that it's been integral to each title's design. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion introduced a more action-based system, while The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim built upon that formula, keeping the basics in place, while refining the rest. Combat became weightier and seemingly more brutal, but it still lacked a certain depth that's perhaps to be expected of such a popular franchise.

Guillermo del Toro Says Silent Hills on PS4 Won't Get Made

Two titles are dominating the headlines this weekend for polar opposite reasons: Call of Duty: Black Ops III for its impending announcement – and Silent Hills for its seemingly inevitable cancellation. Hot on the heels of demo P.T.'s imminent removal from the PlayStation Store, acclaimed film director Guillermo del Toro – who was involved with the project alongside Hideo Kojima – has apparently told an audience at the San Francisco International Film Festival that the survival horror is dead.

Yes, it had to use the word 'exciting'.

Telltale Games Is Teaming Up with Marvel in 2017

Telltale Games appears to have hit the jackpot yet again, as it's announced that it's teaming up with Marvel as part of a new title set to release in 2017. There's no word just yet on which characters will star in this no doubt narrative-driven adventure, but you can bet your bottom dollar on the likes of Spider-Man, X-Men, and more all putting in appearances.

Phwoar! Project CARS Looks Stunning on PS4

With no sign of Gran Turismo on the horizon, Project CARS is a pretty important release for the PlayStation 4. While we're big fans of DriveClub here at Push Square Towers, there haven't really been many other meaningful racing games for Sony's next-gen format just yet – in fact, launch title Need for Speed: Rivals is the only other option that immediately springs to mind.
