PS4 Firmware Update 2.51 PlayStation 4

Sony's finally got around to releasing that PlayStation 4 firmware update that leaked the other week. The patch – dubbed v2.51 – is mandatory, and is available now. It weighs in at 245MB, and promises both enhanced "system stability" and improved "operation quality". We'll have a poke around shortly and let you know if there are any noticeable tweaks implemented as part of this.

The download on our modest connection took around five minutes, so this shouldn't put you out for too long. Of course, if you slap your system into Rest Mode, it'll do much of the heavy lifting for you while you're away. The future is now, friends.
