Resident Evil Revelations PS4

Resident Evil: Revelations 2, the episodic sequel to Capcom’s former Nintendo 3DS exclusive, doesn’t exactly look the part on the PlayStation 4, but there may be a reason for that: speculation suggests that a PlayStation Vita version is also in the works. The title was spotted under the handheld section of Sony’s promotional Tokyo Game Show website, but the link has since been removed.

When it was announced earlier in the month, the publisher committed to two PlayStation platforms: the PS3 and the PS4. It’s unclear, then, why it would wait until this week’s big show in order to unveil a portable version. Should the rumours be accurate, though, it would be significant, as its predecessor famously skipped Sony’s system in favour of the Nintendo 3DS.

At this stage, we’re still a little worried about the state of the game, but it would be nice to see a big publisher pledge support towards the Japanese giant’s flagging handheld – even if Claire Redfield’s latest jaunt ends up an overall disappointment.
