Konami may have lowered the price of its paltry – but insanely pretty – prologue Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, but the upcoming release is still fighting the stigma of its miserably meagre running time. Sadly, the release’s Trophy roster isn’t going to do much to allay fears either, as a leaked list reveals that it lacks a Platinum pot, putting it on par with a lowly digital download.
Your base busting efforts will be recognised by 15 Trophies, which match the Xbox 360 achievements that sneaked out earlier in the year. However, while those that play on Microsoft’s machine will be able to earn a full 1,000 Gamerscore points, there’ll be no top shelf trinkets for PlayStation 4 owners to earn. You’ll have to make do with a bunch of Bronze badges instead.
In truth, it does seem like there’s plenty to do. Awards include clearing all missions with an S-rank, as well as gathering up a complete set of stashed cassettes and XOF unit patches. Still, without a prestigious award to acknowledge your efforts, we can understand if your anticipation’s been deflated a little by this list; if it was down to us, all games would boast one of the esteemed emblems.
We’ve included the full collection of Trophies for your perusal below. Which of these do you think that you’ll be able to grab? Are you disappointed by the absence of a Platinum award? Have you watched our hands-on preview yet? Sorry, we’ll stop with the shameless self promotion – just as soon as you’ve clicked the link, anyway.

Why don't all games have a platinum? It boggles my mind, really. What has Sony got to lose?
well to be fair it was ment to be a digital download game to begin with maybe that's why it has no platinum trophy
@FullbringIchigo I love Resogun, but why is this less of a game than that?
With the implementation of the rarity factor for ps4, I now have a fascination with trophy hunting. I'm hoping that this list isn't complete. Kojima is fond of surprises and ruse's, maybe we will all get a little platinum surprise in the coming weeks.
Sammy when is the review embargo being lifted for this game please?
I was hoping this would be my first ps4 platinum
@Dodoo It's next week.
@get2sammyb thanks but dammit, I can't wait that long!!!
The trophy system is a little pants, especially if its impossible to get a platinum in one run.
@get2sammyb I thoroughly treasured your truncated but tantalizing tale regarding the paucity of player prizes in Ground Zeroes. I have only one sincere, simple suggestion. Could you ease off the alliteration a little bit? The article was interesting but the device became more of a distraction than a help. Nice read nonetheless.
You probably unlock the ability for platinum if you purchase The Phantom Pain.
