Topic: Top games to AVOID for the PS1, PS2 and PSP

Looking for a rogues gallery of terrible games here. Hopefully some discussion to lead to a top 5, no voting. Just how bad can these games get?

Bubsy 3D, of course. Without a doubt the worst PS1 game ever made.

Criticom also known as Criticom: The Critical Combat is a 3D fighting video game much like Tekken that was developed by Kronos Digital Entertainment and was originally released in November of 1995 in the United States, March of 1996 in Europe and October of 1996 in Japan by Vic Tokai for the PlayStation. There is also a Sega Saturn version and was released in United States and Japan early 1997 also by Vic Tokai. I unfortunately bought my copy in 1997 used at Electronics Boutique without knowing how bad it was tried to give it time to see if... well to much time and not worth selling so now I keep it tucked away.

@themcnoisy: My sister got it when she was 9 on a shopping trip to Meadow Hall in Sheffield. I was 11 and got Resi 1 (thanks mum!!). Then had to share the playing time with my sister on that abomination. I think she just played it to spite me.

AVGNa turtles Nes retrospective is brilliant especially the bit where he is jumping for ages and then just walks over. Brilliant. Must watch video for amy gamer.

@themcnoisy: AVGN is one of my favorite youtubers, sad thing is most of what he says is exactly what I said when I was a kid playing most of those games. Lol One of my favorite episodes is the Tiger Electronic handhelds, because of how he describes it is exactly how it was at my school growing up.

@Churchy: I like quiz games, I had a trivial pursuit game last gen which was mechanically and very playable. The problem was the slooooow speed of the AI turns. It was painful. What made that game so bad, as I don't recall it?

Well, basically it's totally bog standard in terms of quality and licensing. Every question just has a static image (there's no licensed music or videos like you get in the Buzz! games), and that's if you get an image at all. The select screens look like bad DVD menus from 2001 and in between rounds you have a creepy 3D caricature of Keith "Cheggers" Chegwin, who is complete with the vacant stare of a serial killer. He also interrupts with "quips" which soon go on a repeat cycle and are incredulously annoying. Add in terrible buzzing sounds and you've got yourself a lovely scat sundae of a game.

Sounds quite interesting, and it's only £1.78 on ebay..

Most budget releases on the PS1 or 2 were either cheaply localised crushingly mediocre Japanese games or one of those awful Disney ripoff movies with an "interactive activity book" portion which translates into "Sub-Mario Paint colouring book and easy jigsaw puzzles". There were at least 20 discs (I refuse to humour them being "games") similar to this on both consoles.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet but DO NOT PLAY Danger Girl. That game is crappy, gross, and misogynistic. Bleaaaah.

I'll need time to think of more, but the first thing that comes to mind for me is the worst fighting game I have ever played so far, and that's "Powerpuff Girls: Chemical X-Traction" on the PSOne and N64. I know there's a Powerpuff Girls game on PS2, but I've never played it or seen it in action, so I can't speak for it.
