Topic: Resident Evil Remake Should Be on Vita... Let's Get It on Vita

Resident Evil's Remake - or REmake as its affectionately known - is coming to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 this month. That's ace, but I reckon it would make a perfect fit on Vita. The pre-rendered backdrops mean that it would look stunning on the smaller screen, and I actually reckon the pace of play would make it a better portable fit than Revelations 2.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm happy Revelations 2 is coming - but why can't we have both? If you're with me, send Gio Corsi a tweet (https://twitter.com/giocorsi) or post in this thread, and I'll forward it on to him at a later date.

I would definitely like a remaster to the vita version of this!

The GameCube remaster was cracking. As I understand it, this new one is based on the PC port of that. I'd buy that again for Vita in a heartbeat!

If Sony pay for it, it happens. Capcom won't support the Vita unless given money in advance (don't be surprised to see a Street Fighter thanks to Sony throwing pennies at the new one) because they'll make no money off of it.

Oh yeah, to be clear: I'm in no way expecting Capcom to do this. I think this would be a good one for Third-Party Productions to tackle, though.

Does Sony even have a track record of messing up these ports when it comes to making a company's game? I googled it and it is nowhere to be found of evidence...

Bring the REmake to Vita!!!

I'm not requesting for a possibility of receiving a botched port. So until RE R2 launches hopefully in optimal fashion, I won't be asking another one.

How do people know it is going to be a bad port? Please explain, you and another person on gamefaqs seem to think Sony won't do a good port on this game and please provide evidence of Sony's track record of bad third party ports or it didn't happen... :/

Borderlands 2. If Sony can't get their own first party ports (R&C Q Force, Collection, Jak Collection etc) on Vita in order, then I expect nothing different with third parties.

I'd be totally for some classic zombie action on my Vita.

Didn't Google very hard - Borderlands 2 on Vita is an absolute mess. Although, to be fair, we all knew it would be as it was just never going to work on Vita.

While I wouldn't personally (SF for me has got more boring each game since Alpha 3) it makes incredible sense to have some sort of SF on Vita when SF5 arrives. Do what Nintendo have done with Smash on Wii U/3DS/Amiibo and let you transfer characters from your PS4 to Vita while on the bus or train, even just to your friends then onto their PS4 to use. Release a budget game/glorified app on Vita for say a tenner to go alongside the main game and it could be great, especially in Japan. Let us create our own character entirely, from the size of him/her to their outfits to their fighting style and moves. Could unlock new items and even other character moves to make your own unique fighter.

Sadly that sounds to much like a good use for the Vita so Sony won't bother.

But Sony did not make the port!!! Are you simply suggesting that Sony are bad at ports? Please stop being negative with anything Sony does because you are not guaranteed to be right all the time, please. You are making yourself look bad by saying RER2 will be a bad port by Sony.

Please remember Sony did NOT make Borderlands 2!!! Iron Galaxy did that!!!! How can you be so naive. You just like to bash anything positive about the vita. Please cut that out.... :/

Has anyone wondered how even we did not see a gameplay of RE:R2? It doesn't signify it will be bad just because we haven't heard anything from them. Gosh, you guys on a PlayStation site are so negative!!!!

Why do you always act you are right all the time. I never see you like that on YouTube when you hype up Vita games that wasn't your responsibility to you. You should of said no to the channel creator and now I found out if just tarnished the reputation of what you seem to be hyping on the vita versus what you say on pushsquare. I do not get your logic, man...

Forget it, I was just overreacting to something that hasn't happen yet with RER2 on Vita...

I must confess, I never played the original. But after playing Revelations and Mercenaries(this game actually had great co-op), I'd buy any RE game that came out on Vita!

Definitely try to get a copy of the original two and Resident Evil 4. I think Resident Evil 5 is pretty good, too - but not everyone agrees.
