Anyone still playing after giving it another shot or going to try it again?

I started it up again and have really enjoyed the updates. The third person adds a new visual element to the exploration that really helps show the vastness of space (especially when the game glitches when in a space station and all of a sudden it disappears and your just floating in space until your death, but in third person 😉). Besides the glitches I am back and ready to follow the Atlas path...or a quick check at that building over there, then ill... oh a big cave....
Needless to say I'm hooked for another round.

@Elodin I played it once or twice since, but I'm mostly just waiting until I can partner up with someone.

@Kidfried yeah, I didn't try that yet. I want my character at a higher gear point before I try that, in case we go somewhere and they can handle it, but I would have to wait in the ship due to something killing me like weather or conditions. I did try with my daughter to see if a sub account or split screen option would work, but no.

I've started the game for the first time ever and I both like and dislike it. I think it is both amazing, but I am struggling with the freedom and the amount of resource gathering. I had a similar issue with BOTW where I had to unlearn all the objective based stuff and just go with the flow.

Now I may be an idiot, but there's one thing I am not sir, and that sir, is an idiot

@Rudy_Manchego The comparison with Breath of the Wild is so on point. I was thinking about that whilst playing it too. It's probably why I don't like NMS as much as I would want to. The amount of resources, items and tools is overwhelming to me, and it turns the game into an activity that's more similar to work than play at times.

The inventory is what's keeping me from going with the flow, I feel.

Hoping to get a go on this on Saturday (daytime, UK) or Sunday (anytime, UK) assuming my internet goes live as planned, if anyone fancies it.

I'll be deleting my save and starting over by the sounds of things.

Yeah I'm hooked on the game right now. I enjoyed it before, but there's so much more you can do now.

However, the base-building aspect does not appeal to me that much, I want to keep moving. So I don't spend much time on building things, not more than I need anyway.

The whole fleet and freighter system is very cool.

I completed the game after buying it for a tenner around the Atlas Rises period and thought it was an enjoyable enough game. It's pretty crazy how much the game has changed even since then, and all for free too. I'd love to go back and give it another go but there's just too much other stuff coming out now that replaying a game, no matter how different it now is, just seems unlikely.
