I’m not anti Sony. I love PlayStation. Sometimes a friend of the family needs to tell the truth though. This gen is a joke. Upscaled PS4 gen and that’s the truth.

I really enjoyed BF1 and then BFV which I still play on PC. I love a WW2 shooter. It’s still better than Vanguad multiplayer as they have ruined it with skins etc that aren’t WW2. It’s silly and disrespectful.
BF 2042 is OK but its problem is that it feels empty and a walking through a large field sim.
Nice to see a bit of a reboot of the series.

@electrolite77 this console gen is by and large forgettable if not just garbage. Nintendo seem to be the only company with any magic and on low spec hardware. It’s always about the games.
Sony are doing PS4.5 Pro for nearly a G. Whales will lap it up. For me this could be the Xbox One moment for Sony. The lack of respect here towards punters is astonishing.
Xbox just needs to go full slate as I like the games.
PC has Steam etc without the BS add-ons and endless subs. It can be a family machine for all sorts of tasks. Good value.
The fact we are comparing a mid gen refresh console with PC prices and no new games says it all.

@SterlingEyes I think we are seeing a tipping point towards more mainstream PC gaming. Steam Deck is fabulous. An OK gaming laptop is £800. I mean one could keep base PS5 and buy a laptop or deck and have change from the £825 Pro.

I could hypothetically buy Pro today but that doesn’t make it a good deal.

Jokes aside, Sony haven’t let go of the PS4 generation, PS5 is getting more expensive and we were promised more in terms of features etc.

I agree with NEStalgia Sony are pricing people towards PC imo and I’ve had every single PlayStation (bar Pro models 😂.) I’ve got into PC gaming this year in fact. Free cloud saves, free online, multiple stores and cheaper games. Can you have a great time on an £800 laptop which also does business, school work, etc. yes.

I love PlayStation, I love console, but I don’t know anyone in my friendship circle who has upgraded to a 5 and no way will they go Pro for £700 to play PS4.5 games.

If Sony massively dropped the base price for the 5 when the Pro hits that would be a great move imo. Sony seem to have lost ‘something’ since the ‘4 the players’ PS4 days.

Truth is these endless cross gen remasters will reach £100/$100 day 1. Don’t buy.

But… others will… and £900 on a Pro for 3 years’ use with a disc drive ‘xtra.’ Pay has no limits!

@PuppetMaster This is controversial… but understand I’m a massive Indy fan… the films should have moved to a new and younger actor 4th film onwards with Indy stories in his prime… the way that no one person is James Bond forever… Indy 5 was absolutely dreadful. Just my opinion.
So hyped for this game though.

So are we expecting another batch of ports to be announced then? Xbox has some good games and here’s the truth: people will buy those games day 1. I’d buy Forza Horizon 5.
Should Game Pass exclude all AAA and have smaller games and online access for much cheaper each month? Why not sell exclusives full price and build your console brand? What do I know though!
