As someone who has bought these games year in, year out, from day one just for the campaign, I'm out. I stopped playing BLOPS6 when I reached those immersion-breaking, stupid hallucination sections. Hopefully people vote with their wallet and force them to rethink...
@carlos82 I felt the same way - right through to the end but after completing a couple of chapters I found I was enjoying exploring, solving the puzzles and dealing with the rats and of course the combat/stealth mechanics. I skipped much of the dialogue when I could as I detested the main characters.
Played it on Gamepass on my Series X and apart from disliking Hugo and Amicia with a passion (specifically their endless OTT dialogue) I really enjoyed the game. Don't mind 30fps as long as it is locked - I quickly get used to it and then forget about it. What I can't abide is a fluctuating framerate or screen tearing - I really notice it then and it gives me a headache. Thankfully there was none of that with Requiem. Personally I'm done with the series now and hope they move onto a new IP for their next release.
I enjoyed the gameplay, the puzzles, rats and combat. However I absolutely loathed Hugo and Amicia. Their dialogue was just so damned annoying - maybe it's an age thing but I just wanted them to STFU almost the whole time. Amicia's arrogance and insistence that she always knew what was right (when she clearly did not) wound me up too. The story and set-pieces became more and more ridiculous as the game progressed and by the end had descended into pure sci-fi/fantasy which I didn't like either.
This comes from someone who adored the first game. It just seemed more grounded in reality and the characters were much more likeable. In requiem they just seemed to have dialled everything up to 11...
@bpomber Thanks, I'd read the review but not each and every comment. Shame it doesn't actually offer any help finding stuff but nice to know this stuff up front. Cheers.
@LiamCroft Do you (or anyone else) know if this supports the game help card things? Sorry don't know the official name for the them - but you press the PS button and get a series of 'cards' that offer in-game help to scroll through. They had them in TLOU Part 1 that brought up little spoiler free guides to where each of the collectibles could be found and I thought it was an incredibly useful feature and added a lot to my enjoyment of the game. Would probably be enough to persuade me to buy it on PS rather than play it on Gamepass to be honest if it has
No chance. £70 for a game that I might end up frustrated with and hating. Count me out. Disappointed that so many people don't seem to care...
There aren't many good games I could justify spending 70 quid on to be honest, let alone an unknown quantity like this.
If this is the standard price point going forward then I won't be buying much at all on release at full price... I'll be waiting a few months for a significant price reduction. Digital purchases are a definite non starter at this price too.
I can just imagine my despair if I'd bought Sekiro digitally for 70 quid...
Been waiting for this for an eternity!!! However I just know that I'll end up getting attached to that furry bird/cat thing and it'll die at the end... QQ
@Johnnycide didn't know it was on the 64 as well... I'd moved on to an Amiga 500 by this time. It did have some really good games towards the end on Cart though that pushed it to its limits. Loved that machine to bits lol
@Dodoo Not read the Polygon review, but 3/10 sounds very harsh. I guess that reviewer just doesn't like it which can happen if the review is written by a single person. I miss the reviews you used to get in Zzap! where they had opinions from several reviewers... but I'm showing my age now lol
Length scares me too. Full time job, family, house etc. doesn't leave much time for gaming. If I was still at school or Uni then I'd have lapped this up... Guess the subject matter (college kids) probably reflects its target audience? Still want to give it a go though... demo would be nice
Great update but unless I'm missing something the email app doesn't support HTML which is disappointing as I can't view most of my emails, just get lots of hyperlinks.
Skyfall mission was very disappointing, bike chase was quite enjoyable but wasn't expecting the game to end when Patrice falls to his death... What about the rest of the film? No appearance from Bad Guy Silva, no DB5, no Shootout at the Skyfall mansion etc? Missed opportunity... bit like the whole game I suppose. Still quite enjoyed the whole thing though - but it could have been so much better with a bit more effort.
A very sad day indeed. Been buying Psygnosis games since my Commodore 64 days. Lemmings is still one of my all time favourites whilst Wipeout on the Vita is one of the best games available on the platform IMHO... what are they thinking???
Made more depressing by the fact that I'm a scouser and I've always been very proud of the fact that it's a world renowned games company based in my home town.
Found this pretty disappointing to be honest. Dumbed down into a slightly futuristic COD clone. I finished it in a few days and sold it on eBay straight away. Unless they go back to the gameplay of GRAW 1 & 2 that's the franchise finished for me. I just pray that they've not done the same thing to the upcoming Rainbow Six Patriots game or I won't be purchasing that either.
As for this DLC, making some new bigger levels and ramping the difficulty up isn't going to fix anything for me - I want full control of my squad back!
Makes sense I suppose given they're trying to do something different. Maybe her voice will grow on me - I wasn't overly keen on it during the trailer...
So we will be able to sync save games between the PS3 and Vita versions of the game using "Transfarring" ??? or have I got the wrong end of the stick? Really hope that's the case.
Never mind 32GB cards, they should be looking at 64GB or better still 128GB cards. 16/32GB is fine for smartphone games which are, at most, a few hundred MB. Most Vita games are a few GB. If they want to to embrace digital downloads then they need to give us the space to store them!
Going to pick my pre-order up from Game at lunch-time. Very excited. Decided to get the 3G after all - the copy of Wipeout for a £5 top-up was the deciding factor. Was going to buy this anyway but this deal brought the price of the two versions close enough to warrant pushing the boat out a bit further Can't wait!
@get2sammyb So even though they're not on the list I'll still be able to download them from the store or use Media Go to transfer them? Looks like I'll be keeping my PSP for a while longer then until I know I can play everything. Shame.
How can we find out when/if games not on the list will become available? I really wanted to sell my my PSP Go to help pay for my Vita but there are several titles not on the list that I still want to play (Driver 76, Colin McRae, Pursuit Force etc). Also what about the PS1 Classics like Resident Evil and Fear Effect that I purchased too?

Only one that has worked for me is Celeste… even tried downloading just episode 1 of LiS as suggested above and that won’t register either…

@Quintumply Glad to hear it - I'm looking forward to unlocking all the stuff from the original game

As above, will be getting this purely for the nostalgia value alone... hope it's not as hard as the original!

Instant purchase / pre-order for me. There is no decent racer for it so far... Would love to see a version of Colin McRae / Dirt on it too...
