Re: Unsurprisingly, GTA 6 Projected to Make a Staggering Amount of Money

@PeaceSalad so true. You can't satirise much of what's been going on since covid because it's self-satirising; reality is practically indistinguishable from satire, beyond it even, into the realms of absurdity. What really gets me riled is that so much of it is dressed up as righteousness when all it does is serve to divide.

I hope the new GTA doubles down on its satire and attempts to send up as much as it can, be as 'offensive' as it wants.

Re: Helldivers 2's Creative Director's Latest Comments Have Landed Him in Hot Water

Why is he in trouble? He's right. The irony of the intolerance of the 'tolerant'. Injecting DEI and making it a primary factor for the sake of it is in itself a form of discrimination and can lead to the game itself become secondary to the message. Much like most of the recent Star Wars output that done so miserably.

Of course, people are free to have their own opinion on this and I respect that.

Re: Consoles Here to Stay, PS5 to Be Supported into Next-Gen, Says PlayStation CEO

@silversteel91 I was forced at gunpoint to buy my PS5 Pro, and with that gun at my head I was forced to read up about what the Pro could do before I decided to buy it. What a con!

I wrote this message on an 8 year mobile phone that became old after a year when they released a new one for £1000. Why do they keep pointing guns at me?!! I told them I'll buy a new phone!

Re: PS Plus Essential Games for January 2025 Announced

@DonJorginho he has a point. Suicide Squad is a live service shooter done badly, repetitive, grindy and boring. It's a 200 million pound flop from WB who'd rather make this than the critically acclaimed and popular Batman games trying to chase whales. Live service can be good but games like this, Anthem, Concord ect are not really made for us to enjoy, but for us to get hooked on. Now, if he were talking about FIFA being AIDS, I'd agree 😁

Ffs stop concentrating on the minority who say stupid crap and making it news. Seriously, it doesn't deserve all this attention from the media and the sooner it's ignored the sooner it lessens.

It's not something that will ever go away because of human nature, so concentrate on stuff that's worth your time. Unfortunately, it's negativity that attracts attention so here we are talking about a tiny minority of people who have a problem instead of the vast majority who appreciate the effort and the art itself.

It's so frustrating, a vicious circle. An article gets posted about some people on reddit, or wherever, being foolish, the comments are full of like-friendly comments denouncing them, dehumanising them as being beneath them in some fashion, which validates the article, and nothing changes, rince and repeat.

How about we don't promote the rubbish some people come out with? How about we talk about the fan art THAT I KNEW NOTHING ABOUT until it was newsworthy simply because a minority criticised it, which is their right in an open society, even if its unfair? Rude people exist, it's not news.

Re: Sony Says The Last of Us 2 Can Be Considered a Holiday Season Classic

@themightyant I know all that, the etymology, the religious festivals ect, and yet all my life at this time of year in many countries across the world we've specifically put up Christmas trees, Christmas decorations, bought Christmas presents, seen towns tranform public areas with Christmas lights, wished everybody Merry Christmas,....and the last few years its been eroded by the awful, wishy-washy, non-specific Happy Holidays nonsense like its a good alternative. It's Christmas, we are all celebrating Christmas at this time of year, we get bank holidays for Christmas. The constant reference to 'Holidays' instead of Christmas is bad form, to me.
