@Wasted_Smuggler You do realize that new gamers start playing by the millions every year, who have never played a PS3 game? I honestly feel bad for people who have such a myopic view of gaming - if it isn’t a AAA cinematic third person action adventure with a metacritic of 90+ released in the past month, it’s trash.
No doubt about it, giving access to PS3 games without having to buy another console would be a consumer-friendly move.
Yeah the loot mechanics are weak - no special stats to set them apart. It’s much more just a twin stick shooter with some options rather than a looter.
The hypocrisy and nearsightedness of the PS community is appalling.
If it wasn’t Xbox, A-B would be going to Amazon or Google. A-B couldn’t sustain themselves. Xbox has proven themselves to be dedicated to preserving classic IPs and legacy games. The leadership, while obviously motivated by profit, does so by focusing on what is best for gamers. No chance CoD leaves PS.
Like it or not, gaming is going the way of all other digital media; music, TV, and movies.

Just finished the game. Excellent. It’s seriously one of the most gorgeous games, and I love twin stick shooters.

That’s an argument for it’s value - you’re granting they’re games you would pay for. Imagine if you hadn’t paid for those games? That’s huge value.
Sure you can’t get your money back, but that tells you if you subscribe they’ll add games you would normally buy.

I think it’s hilarious so many people want old games when all the complaints I hear about GP is that it’s just “old games.” No one is happy.
