Re: UK Retailer GAME Defends Paid PlayStation VR Demos

huntinio

I dont see the issue. Its the only way to separate people who genuinely are interested in buying the VR, from those who just want to play on the demo. I bought mine outright but had a demo station been set up when i was first considering it id have happily paid £5 to try out £400+ worth of hardware. You dont think twice about paying £5 for a drink but you dont like the idea of paying £5 to try before you buy?

Re: Destiny Launches Pricey Level Boosters for PS4, PS3

Sadly Bungie lost the plot when the taken king was released. They dont really care about the opinions of people who play. Essentially the last update wiped out nearly any unique ad hard to acquire item i had collected over a year of playing. In any other industry that move would be illegal, Bungie lost my respect and micro transactions just go to prove its never been about the game to them, only money

Ive only just completed the relatively early mission'Wandering in the Dark'. Amazing game but id be quite happy to have 99% of the candles removed. Ive also been victim to accidentally stealing from guards and causing them to go hostile because i started to sprint too close to a chest and accidentally looted it.

Re: Sony Really Wants You to Pre-Order PS4 Games on the PlayStation Store

If sony want us to go digital its simple. No free games, no discount codes, no gimmicks, just make the games £10-15 cheaper to buy as a digital download than the disk costs on release day. Sony need to realise not only are disks cheaper but you can also get £10-30 back for your game once you have completed it so in reality the PS store is double te price of buying the disk in some cases.

Re: Feature: How Is PS4 Exclusive Bloodborne Treating Our Beginners?

Having played (and completed) Dark Souls (1&2) and the legendary Demon Souls I was eagerly awaiting the release of Bloodborne. This game is so similar to the Soul's series that sometimes I try to block using my non existent shield. You need patience and strategy to not have a miserable time playing this game and its not for the weak of heart. Perversely so far I've found it harder than the Soul's series, although that's probably me just re-adapting to a cautious approach after weeks of Farcry Destiny and Zombie killing frenzies of Dying Light.

Pros
1. Its far more satisfying to progress (open shortcuts/beat bosses) than most games due to its difficulty.
2. Great look and feel to the environment
3. Feels like im playing Dark Souls with guns and when you die you don't turn into a rotten hollow.

Cons
1. Fog gates to boss areas only appear after you have faced a boss. Therefore you can accidently wonder into a boss fight accidently which you can only leave by victory or death.
2. So far id say there are not enough weapons/customisation
3. Can be frustrating as missing one tiny detail/hidden path can lead to ours of frustration....or could lead to a youtube video for help.
4. Inability to interact with environment meaning that a small water fountain or pile of rubbish is completely impassable. Whilst this is not Dying Light's freerunning style of games they still could have improved on the mechanics from Dark Souls to make your characters movement slightly more realistic.

They have seriously messed up the launch of this game. I was going to buy it, but it will now be released at a similar time to 'The Order' and closer to Dead Island 2. Since I refuse to pay £15 more for a digital copy (Come on Sony wake up), I plan on picking this up when its down to £20.
