@Sil_Am For some reason (mental illness, low standards, insomnia?) I can't stop playing the new Gungrave over and over. It's like a gaming routine, playing a few levels a day and then a different game. There's just something about it.
The greatest thing about being married is if my wife ever died, I can never date and no one would push me to get out there. It looks horrible these days. (Pressures, not the people physically.😄)
Both Mortal Kombat and Twisted Metal have been ripe for a third person RPG of their characters for decades. I'd buy it, assuming they could pull it off. Potencial's there, though.
@amersga I can see that. I doubt actors have much, if any, creative input with Kojima scripts. They feel so completely him, his mind even working with whole development teams. BUT he is an artist where that's likely for the best. He knows what he wants to say to a level beyond most at an insane detail. He can be a tad full of himself at times, but he has the work to back it up.
Going in blank not knowing the Harry Potter world, apparently my ending up Hufflepuff is hilarious to my wife? Apparently there aren't that many Huffle people with tats, a shaved head and beard who look more like a Kratos as a biker than an office worker (describing real life me) thought of as this Huffle house? Huffing 4 life.
Anyway, did the whole thing. Gotta look out for my house and all that. Good looking out, Pushsquare. I would have had no idea on this avatar thing if you hadn't pointed it out.
Maybe I'd like the show more if I didn't know the games so well? Hard to say. It's weird, both me and the wife feel the same (which we almost never do, we're opposites on everything) how the show is right at the line of good enough to keep watching, but at a loss why it's so popular. Strange because the original is a videogame versus tv, but we both thinking the acting is better in the game. First time I could ever say that about something! And the actors in the game didn't have the human element to physically use, they had to do it all by voice. Joel still feels miscast. It was always going to be hard to find someone to be able to convey anger, saddness and apathy all mixed together. Joel's a complex role. Mandalorian isn't a good enough actor. Guy feels very safe life vibe, I don't buy him as someone who's lived with pain for a second, in his face, in his eyes. It feels like he's doing a role, you know? Like he's never like good actors who because they're so good you forget about them acting and are into the world or character, going with it. Maybe that won't sense to anyone but me.
Once again, the episode was fine. It wasn't some great, must see episode and it wasn't bad. It just sort of is. Perfectly passable and forgettable within a week. Yet I still watch, though I keep hoping for it to get a touch better each time than it is. Are me and my wife really the only two underwhelmed? Though I guess I should thank the show for unifying our opinions for once. 😄 At least others are enjoying it more. I didn't mention my problems with it to anger any fans, it's all opinions and I'm glad others love it. It's more the article caught me at a moment with time to kill with thoughts that have bugged me how I feel a bit like the little girl who sees the emperor has no clothes and wondering why it feels like I'm seeing a different show than everyone when I see nonstop praise as though this were top level entertainment. Someone used a Walking Dead comparison. That's a good example. Even if you didn't like certain times of the show, few could deny the quality of acting and production value. That's where Last Of Us feels much more SyFy than Walking Dead. Again, not comparing plots. Comparing production and quality of actors. But The Last Of Us marches on. Still watching.
@huyi People like what they like. There are plenty out there that would say gamers are pathetic for getting excited for even playing any games. Everyone's different in what grabs their fancy. Be a boring world if everyone only liked the exact same things in the exact same way. Be it coin collecting, collecting Barbies or being a fan of certain movies, etc, it's all passions for someone that can be dull or a waste of time to another.
I don't know why they don't make a controller like this limited. It's Potter related, so they have no worries it won't sell, would make much more money in the long run by being available unlimited, yet by making it limited you know the bulk of purchases will be scalpers reselling it for higher. Really, limited edition controllers in this day abd age only benefit the scalpers, not the consumer. Oh well, I refuse to sit in front of a computer waiting on a countdown to click attempting to buy something like I'm Pavlov's dog. And I even more refuse on principle to ever buy from scumbags who snatch things up to sell for more. Guess I can spend my excess money elsewhere.
@Zuljaras That's a perfect comparison, saying this game is to Potter as the Arkham and Spider-man games are with details packed in with love to the fan. Fingers crossed, I hope it runs well on PS4!
My wife's the big Potter fan and according to her it's the greatest. She's about 8 hours in and hasn't been this into a game for years, despite that she is a gamer and plays all the time. But no one title has held her attention and had her this excited in years. But again, she's a huge fan of Potter stuff. I'm not into the Potter universe at all, but played the first couple hours and even I liked it and I only played mostly tutorial. Have no idea what's going on, can't make rhyme or reason about what exactly the magic rules are yet of what happens within this universe, but this was clearly made by fans for fans. I'll catch up fine, but according to my wife the game is stuffed with easter eggs and little details for the fans. She's a bit nuts for Potter, she has every book, every movie and goes to a Harry Potter convention once a year. So she's likely an above average fan, the crazy lady. But any fans like that, apparently this is a buy.

@Porco Lollypop Chainsaw is a masterpiece. Remaster is coming.
Re: Wanted: Dead (PS5) - A Fascinating Mess of an Action Game
Does Wanted have difficulty levels?
I could see putting it on easy to skate through and just enjoy the crazy story.

@nomither6 Do you look at the buttons when you play a game? Scratching my head why the different colors on the buttons would matter.
