Hmmm...not so sure this is my thing. I never played any of the original Max Payne games. I guess they are fairly well-regarded. Is this a sandbox title, or fairly linear?
Thanks for a great review! I keep sitting on the fence with this. I think I'm going to end up buying it though, because I really want to experience it for the unusual atmosphere and story. It's just too bad it sounds like it could have been a whole lot better. Move really needs some killer apps.
I loved Journey, but I'm sure these guys will go on and make yet ANOTHER amazing, unique game. They're definitely pioneers. I'm thinking I'd like a little less linearity in the next title (that's my only real criticism of Journey).
Interesting read. I think you hit it spot on that this title suffers from target audience muddiness. It tried to have the best of all possible worlds, but didn't succeed. Whereas a title like Little Big Planet can appeal to gamers of all shapes and sizes.
This is what I read: It should be noted that Datura doesn't have to be played with the PlayStation Move. You could very easily use a DualShock controller instead. But it's clear that Datura was designed with PlayStation Move in mind. The Sony representative showing me the game insisted that Move was the preferred method and you could see why. Datura's design encourages you to interact with everything around you, and you get a pseudo-tactile feel from using the PlayStation Move controller to, in turn, control your character's hand on-screen.
@Stuffgamer1 Yeah, I heard the same thing from a preview I read on IGN. I don't own a Move, but I really want to try this game! Please doublecheck the facts and let us know if this is truly "Move-exclusive" or just "Move-compatible" Thanks.
Just ordered this - largely to play the original title. I'm really looking forward to it. A lot of reviewers gave it pretty low scores, but this seems like a fair score to me. It may not be the best thing ever, but I'm really looking forward to playing it!
Well I am one of the holdouts who just caved and bought a $250 PS3 system. I'm downloading demos like crazy! So far, I have not been disappointed. Frankly, I think too much stock is placed in Pachter. He is frequently wrong, but I guess he enjoys making bold statements or something

Re: Review: Marvel Pinball (PlayStation Network)
I really enjoyed the demo of this one. Your review almost makes it sound like more of an 8, which is likely where I would rank it.
Re: Review: Stacking (PlayStation Network)
Loved the demo - I think I'll have to get this one!
Re: Ni No Kuni Goes into Hiding until Q1 2013
Anything Studio Ghibli touches is gold - this will be fantastic...I can wait.
