the £210 pricetag is really hard to process, and the lack of objective and critical reviews before release is not exactly inspiring confidence on the product. I had to cancell my pre-order, I'll wait for some feedback/reviews on release and maybe in a couple months with a discount I'll get one.
this is one of the few higly desirable piece of tech that launches after 2020 and is not sold out within the first 30 min of bein available.
my plan is to place an order, hold it until 1 or 2 weeks before release and then cancel and refund it (if needed) that will definetely hurt their numbers even further and send a message of how absurd is the pricing of this thing.
and it's a shame because everything else looks great on paper for this controller.
@Quintumply , Guys, I think this diserves some investigation, my PS5 is turning on by itself randomly , it looks like is triggered by the media remote, but how? is the mic open all the time ? are they collecting data with that media remote? a security concern. ? here are multiple reports of the same. https://www.reddit.com/r/playstation/comments/mw03nv/ps5_turning_on_by_itself_w_media_remote/
I hope this update hides the code to unlock the extra internal M.2 Slot for extra storage, I'm really strugling with storage RN and using an external regular USB storage simply makes no sense at all for me , so with some luck we will be getting this feature unlocked in the next state of play on the 29th of April .
anyone knows if the PS5 is region locked? been ages since my PS3 :S I skyped the PS4 but definetely coming back with PS5. is it possible with the ps4 to have accounts registred on diferent regions? let's say a US account in a console in the UK?
everything about this game feels wrong. a poorly made "remake" with very lazy looking graphics, basic perks locked to a pre-order... this is just ubisoft screwing an amazing IP.
I can confirm , the technique works like a charm, I call it "the Inception technique", I been working on it since the release of the N.Switch back in 2017, and couple weeks ago with the PS5 hardware reveal we even wacthed it togehter and the discussion was about where to place the gigantic console, and no longer about if I was going to get it or not .
@Kienda I totally get your point. and I'm also a grown-up who plays with my brother-in-law who is also 10yo. and I have play with his frineds from school, a bunch of very funny kids, so I'm with you when you say that lots of kids under 13 are actually playing the game, I have withness it knowing exactly the age of the players, the problem is that when it comes to the "target public" vs the "real rated public", Fortnite delivers a freaking confusing message, making the game quite interesting for very young kids but having content that should be out of their minds at that age.
however kids consuming content that shouldn't has been a reality for many years now and is very VERY hard to avoid , and it gets worst with the Internet, being said that I think that the best thing you can do as parent is definetely Education, approcach difficult topics like sex, violence, strong feelings, mental disorders, in a natural way and with intelligence, rather than banning and forbbiding content which is going to lead to curiosity, and the kid doing stupid things to access the content and believe me they are way more smart than we think.
@Kienda I do share your feeling however being "legal", Fortnite is rated 13+ meaning that the audience you are talking about, which I know is real, has nothing to do playing the game and is the parent's fault for allowing them , also I blame Epic games for not having a more strict age restriction filter. on the other hand all those movies are rated 13+ at least on the countries that they are showing it.
meaning taht everything is "legal" and perfectly "fine" in legal terms.
However reality is far from being OK. and age restriction with Fortnite is quite a topic.
