I don’t think these movies are suitable for the audience.
The average age of Fortnite players I know is like 7-12 years old.
Maybe it is an attempt to culture them?

@Kienda I do share your feeling however being "legal", Fortnite is rated 13+ meaning that the audience you are talking about, which I know is real, has nothing to do playing the game and is the parent's fault for allowing them , also I blame Epic games for not having a more strict age restriction filter. on the other hand all those movies are rated 13+ at least on the countries that they are showing it.
meaning taht everything is "legal" and perfectly "fine" in legal terms.
However reality is far from being OK. and age restriction with Fortnite is quite a topic.

Out of my son and about a dozen of his friends and cousins. Only one is over 10 years old. When we go to a shop to buy Fortnite toys, the other people looking at those toys are kids etc.
Also kids gaming magazines are full of Fortnite stuff, even 110% Gaming which is aimed at 8 year olds.
Yeah, me and my brother play it occasionally as oldies and I know some dads who play with their kids, but the vast majority of Fortnite players are kids. I’d bet money on it.

I’m doubting many would stay to watch the whole of one of these movies when they have the attention span of a gnat and I would guess Lego Movie or something would have been better for the audience.
Just because it is 13+ doesn’t mean they couldn’t have shown a PG, is kind of my point.
@Kienda I totally get your point. and I'm also a grown-up who plays with my brother-in-law who is also 10yo. and I have play with his frineds from school, a bunch of very funny kids, so I'm with you when you say that lots of kids under 13 are actually playing the game, I have withness it knowing exactly the age of the players, the problem is that when it comes to the "target public" vs the "real rated public", Fortnite delivers a freaking confusing message, making the game quite interesting for very young kids but having content that should be out of their minds at that age.
however kids consuming content that shouldn't has been a reality for many years now and is very VERY hard to avoid , and it gets worst with the Internet, being said that I think that the best thing you can do as parent is definetely Education, approcach difficult topics like sex, violence, strong feelings, mental disorders, in a natural way and with intelligence, rather than banning and forbbiding content which is going to lead to curiosity, and the kid doing stupid things to access the content and believe me they are way more smart than we think.
@angus_luissen yeah, I agree. I had an older brother whose friends exposed me to things way before I should have known about them, so I’ve probably been a bit more protective of my own children.
Having said that, my son plays Fortnite at 8 years old so I’m not completely restricting him. But he isn’t allowed to play other games like CoD, GTA or anything more graphic than that or with realistic people dying or any blood.
We gotta let kids be kids. He still plays Spyro, Skylanders, all Nintendo’s kid friendly games and things like that a lot, but he also wants to play with his friends so there is a compromise.
I think my point above was that despite the age rating of the game I think they’ve misjudged the audience a bit and the movies are completely different to the vibe of the game. It just seems a bit odd. Like serving caviar at a kids party.
