sadly the popularity decline, because somehow in PS3/psvita era, not many japanese developer want localized the game to the rest of the world. even thought right now many japanese developer try to localized their game. it's just to late to get investment from big player like sony because JRPG is considered niche market.
Miss point. No matter how old is the game. People love one of unique point playstation as a brand, Exclusive game. And "only on playstation" is already great value that become reason people buy playstation.
I am sure nintendo fans will angry if nintendo released game on pc. Even nintendo released some of their mascot in other platform like IOS/Android but thats more inferior game than game in switch. While in case of HZD that will make PC are more superior than playstation.
I think sony let death stranding to pc. is just because it's Kojima first game in his independent studio. they let Kojima use Decima engine to pc just because Kojima need money first to make his studio finance more stable (Kojima just can use free game engine like unreal engine 4 but maybe, the quality not meet his standard). with that money from deaths stranding sales he can make his own game engine, or to make next game. if he wants to use decima engine again, sony will make agreement that it will be only PlayStation exclusive.

Ps3 era and ps vita era is the time when sony are being greedy. Expensive memory and cannot multi user really impact to vita.
