@Stocksy Better graphics are what epitomises the next generation of consoles (arguably). If games exclusive to next gen just look like current gen games but with higher frame rates and resolution (for the rest of that generation) then it wouldn't be next gen at all. It would be like current gen games looking like TLOS Remastered.
In my opinion, better graphics matter to a degree. Apart from 4K and higher frame rates, I can't imagine the next generation of consoles yielding the same visual fidelity as the current generation of consoles. That's just not par for the course.
@Carl-G What do you think about HZD (and other Sony first party exclusives) coming to PC (assuming it's true) and third party exclusives (like FFVII Remake) likely coming to Xbox?
@Alfieburns The big deal is that bringing first party exclusives to PC would devalue the PS4 as the only platform where you could play certain games on.
@NathanUC The point of exclusivity is to make a console the only platform where you could play certain games on, which adds value to that console. Bringing those games to PC basically devalues that console. It's not about not wanting to reach as many players as possible, but more about upholding a console's worth.
EDIT:
Personally, if it's just for some of Sony's least popular first party games (just to entice PC only gamers to come to the Playstation ecosystem) it's probably okay. But if this is Sony's way of setting a precedent to bring all of their first party games to PC, it might be a bit of a problem for players that don't game on PC.
@LieutenantFatman No, because this was an incident that should never have happened in the first place. Him leaving his team mates mid-game was his fault. What the man did was selfish, despite his apparent politeness. He should've brought his PSVita (for remote play) / Switch (assuming he owns them) or use his phone.
@Kienda Final Fantasy adds a lot of value to Playstation consoles (as it has in the PS1/PS2 days). Any game that appears on Xbox (a competing platform where JRPGs are not as popular on) devalues the Playstation versions of those games. It's understandable why many are unhappy with the likelihood of FFVIIR coming to Xbox.

Re: The Last of Us 2 Job Listing Asks for PC Experience, Has Some PlayStation Fans in an Uproar
@NathanUC "Do you believe in cross platform play? Wouldn't that also devalue the console by your definition?"
I don't think it makes much difference, in my opinion, because the multiplayer game would already have been multiplatform from the start.
