@PuppetMaster I know very well a few people release vinyl but it died 30 year ago I used to own 2 record stores I watched it happen. CDs killed the business. Now there has been a resurgence in used records stored but records and cassettes will never be the way mainstream listens (or buys for that matter) music. I have kids as well and trust me they’re are gone. All their music is on their phones. Sad but true. Records do sound better but they are just not convenient or work with 2026 lifestyle. People can pine for them all they want I have no issue with it but the facts are the writing is on the wall. Xbox will be next if they continue to make consoles. PCs are the only real medium that use discs and even pc’s are phasing out optical drives. and most software developers Adobe Microsoft etc no long put their programs or OS on disc. Consoles are next. Discs are “boomer tech” and they are fading away.
PlayStation isn’t losing anything. People said the same things about records cassettes and even CDs yet no one buys them anymore. MacBooks don’t come with disc drives anymore either. No one uses Walkman’s anymore. why all of this ? Because digital is the way. You can hem and haw all you want nothings going to stop it. PlayStation is just a small piece of the puzzle. I don’t know anyone that uses disc. I didn’t share my discs when it was ps4 or 3 and I’ve never bought a Ps5 disc. Rarely bought ps4 discs. For one I can’t stand the sound they make as they are by no means silent. I don’t even know why people are clutching pearls about this. Life must be good if this is a problem you have. Most people on earth wouldn’t understand such a trivial tantrum.
Days Gone was screwed from release. From unwarranted bad reviews to sinister Social media claims. The truth of the matter is Days Gone was a great game, great mechanics, great story etc that I’ve played 3 times through. Decon was a great character too. Makes no sense why this game wouldn’t have some sort of follow up. Have to chunk it in the basket with MAG, SOCOM and a few other Sony games that should have could have would have. 🪦 RIP
@doctommaso 100% agreed. Makes the game so much better. PS5 as a whole package has been a win win. Runs smooth, graphics are amazing, UI and controller awesome ,Plays all my PS4 games and look so damn good doing it.
