Fortnite has actively been making itself a gaming platform, it’s not longer just Battle Royale, it’s guitar hero and Lego adventures.. sure the racing one didn’t really work, but almost! if they really got that to work, and properly integrated fall guys….
it wouldn’t surprise me if Fortnite have a huge BR alternative soon, maybe a co-op story based platformer or RPG of their own in the next few years, it’s clear from Sabina Carpenter the audience loves the skins but shooting each other isn’t the draw
there is a robust industry of streamers and retro lets plays - my kid will watch hours of Minecraft creation videos to find out how to make something, it even shocked me once to find out when we got around to playing Mario 64.. he’d already watched someone else play the whole thing on YouTube. I don’t think the company that makes the game should be dedicating revenue to sharing how to to play it tho, can you imagine.

The beta was better! Could have been a great game if the grind for xp wasn’t insane and the rewards were worth it
The mini games were retro flash quality
It was a mess but the core fighting game actually really fun

It’s really fun - but not being on switch I think is the issue. Most kids this would appeal to have switches not PlayStations or Xbox’s
