Many people complain that it wasn’t announced for the PS5, but if it’s a mobile game, it’s absolutely the right decision not to announce it for consoles at first, simply to avoid creating false expectations. It’s probably meant to appeal to a completely different target audience than the fans of the single-player game. I myself am a fan of single-player games and don’t like MMOs. The overlap between those groups is probably very small. That’s why I believe this strategy is the correct one.
No worrys. I played yesterday already for 3-4 hours on PS5 and the Game runs in Performance Modus perfectly smooth. The File Size from Disc are only 30Gb and I have no Patch installed. I only had one Bug and this was no sound in the Intro Cutscene that's it. The Game rocks and I will dive in again this evening.
Pumping money into AI upscaling technology to achieve results that should be easy on modern hardware—just because proper game polishing seems too expensive these days… Weird times from my perspective.
I was hoping AI upscaling brings modern Games on Old Hardware but it seems we need it to run modern Games on future Hardware…
Imagine you are working for nearly eight Years for a Game developer just to Release NOTHING in this time and got Fired and all your effort going down the River. I would cry for days.
WB has absolutely no clue how Game Development works… such a shame with Monolith. They had something in the works with their Nemesis System from Middle Earth Games but got cancelt.
I’ve read the whole article with Marks Voice in Mind XD. He needs to make an podcast or something like that were he is talking about hardware and so on.
I'm not sure if I would call this a victory. In my opinion, neither side has covered themselves in glory here. Bombarding all games from a small, ambitious studio with negative reviews because the publisher made some strange decisions... not exactly elegant. Similarly, Sony could have announced, explained, and then optionally implemented the PSN link. Well, now the damage is done; Sony has once again lost some credibility, and an otherwise outstanding flagship game is now burdened with poor reviews. And the supposedly peaceful gamers rejoice in their dubious triumph. The good thing is that all of this is happening only in a relatively small bubble, and the majority of players couldn't care less.
