@The_ghostmen true! And to be fair, and probably more excited for his new game than I would be if they added Ico to the stream of endless remakes. As much as I would have enjoyed it a lot.
A lot of fans want Aerith to survive. I kinda think it detracts from the story. But I wonder if the way they'll get around it is having Aerith and Zack live on in the alternate universe and have a happy ending there, but leaving Cloud and the others to still deal with the tragedy of her sacrifice? Or am I being dumb?? π
I already played all of this through PS plus somehow a few months ago. To be honest, this is a great way to play Destiny. I just did a focussed play through of as much story as I could, although missing all the Raids. It just about made sense π Just wish I could have played the stuff they vaulted as well π
Recently played the first two back to back. Both great games. Refreshing in a sea of open world games, loved the focussed linea style. Look forward to see what they do with a third game!
Don't really care. I think Xbox owners will be glad for a return to exclusives, but we'll see if they stick to that. The flip-flop doesn't help their credibility though. A lot of games in their showcase are coming to ps5 which means they're sending out really mixed messaging. Are we gonna get Halo remake but not the inevitable Halo 2? It's all a bit silly really.
The last couple of I've managed to get Β£100 store credit for Β£85. PS Plus Extra is worth it at that price I think. Funnily enough, I did that this year and then I got 25% off Extra as well, absolute bargain! But I think Sony needs to offer a budget tier for people that only want online play and cloud saves. Probably already been said a thousand times.
I really loved the Jak trilogy back in the day. I've replayed it a couple of times and I still think it's great. If they did anything I reckon a remake of the trilogy that tidies up the story and improves the continuity through the three games would be cool. Maybe modernize the controls a bit, but I never had a problem with the gunplay of the second and third games. It was the platforming that was always the star of the show though.
Surely there's a point where the loss of sales due to a high entry cost will outweigh the income from their existing install base, or something like that. They'll just see PS Plus dwindle. They've had great sales of PS5 already so they might be able to gamble on a higher price for the remainder of its life cycle. But they'll want people to make the jump to PS6 as quickly as possible. 800+ cost will just kill any momentum.
This ups the replayablity for me. Didn't realise all the remasters had this in too, makes me wanna go back and play all the FF I haven't played before!
@TheFakulty totally agree. I think if they did something like square has done with FFXIV online, where they updated the campaigns so that you can solo them with a NPC team, they'd gain loads of players.
I'm generally a solo/offline player but I played a lot of Destiny 1 and 2 and really enjoyed it. But they lost me because they lock the conclusion of every story behind a raid (never got into them) and then locked me out of content that I really enjoyed. Still shocks me that I can't put the Destiny 2 disc in my PS5 and play the original campaign. It was so good, and now it's gone apparently π€·
Ffviii was my first and still my favourite (probably just nostalgia π ). Hated X when it came out. Replayed it for the first time last year and loved it. Think I got over the linear design.

I'd really love a single player story driven Destiny game. Probably never happen though.
