Re: Here's Your First Look at Tom Holland As Nathan Drake in the Uncharted Movie

I wonder if Naughty Dog has been secretly working on a new Uncharted prequel game to tie in with the movie. It would make perfect sense to release a new Uncharted on the PS5 around the time of the movie’s release. Many have said that the Uncharted story couldn’t move forward with Nathan Drake. Who says it can’t move backwards? Imagine an Uncharted which takes us back to the very beginning. Uncharted: When Nathan met Sully. We go from “one last time” to “the first time.” It could happen!

The 720P resolution only applies to games that are streamed on PlayStation Now. All PS4 and PS2 games can be downloaded to the console and played in the full resolution as intended by the publisher up to 4K (if your TV supports it). The PS3 games can be streamed. A large majority of PS3 games were published in 720P. PlayStation Now is an excellent service that I’ve had zero issues with. For the price of one game, $59, you gain access to over 900 PlayStation games for one year. Many of which can be downloaded and played in 1080P - 4K resolution. Before slamming something, players should try the service first. A lot of people disparage games and services that they haven’t even experienced. I recommend completing the seven day trial first.

I understand that Sony’s resources need to be allocated to the new console (PS5). But I don’t believe that support will stop for the PlayStation 4 anytime soon considering the massive installed user base that they have.

For example, the PS3 was supported until this past May (2019). PS3 users can still play and download their games. That equals out to about 13 years of support.

The PS4 launched in 2013. So we should see PlayStation 4 support from Sony until 2025-2026. Maybe even longer considering how dominant PS4 was this generation, the large installed user base, and the PS4 Pro releasing in 2016.

Many articles (on this site and others) allude to the PS4 being left behind, phased out, and only having a few major game releases left. This is a premature death sentence.

I understand it to an extent. We’re all excited about the next generation and the PS5. And many of us plan on buying or preordering the console. That said, the PS4 still has a lot of life left in it and for those of us unable to get a PS5 immediately, we still have a lot to look forward to. PS4 games will go down in price and more Greatest Hits will be released and all of your current games will be updated and patched. So it’s not panic at the disco time just yet people.

I recently subscribed to PlayStation Now. It’s an amazing service. For the price of one new game ($59), you gain access to over 800 games for a year. PS4 and PS2 games can be downloaded while PS3 games are streamed.

I have a modest internet connection and have experienced zero lag or latency.

If you’re on the fence, I say it’s time to jump in. At least do the 7 day trial! It’s worth it.
