Without taking inflation into account, surely comparing console prices from different eras is a bit irrelevant. I could have bought an amazing house if I'd had my current income back in 2000!
@StrickenBiged Currys was showing it as available to order before 10am, but then said something like "can't complete order due to high demand, try again later"
Then got the same "please select a delivery time" that you did, so quickly decided an extra £10 was a price worth paying to order from a website that works 😂
If you're interested, and can afford it, my advice would be to bite the bullet and go for it. It's a great experience playing in VR. I'm also finding lots of enjoyment in games I didn't think I'd ever really be interested in
@BeerIsAwesome I can see the PS6 being digital only, with the option of a disc drive add-on. That will reduce physical sales even more, to the point where they'll argue digital only is the way to go. But I could be wrong!
I think you'd be disappointed if you wanted to use VR as your main way of gaming. I dip in and out, playing a few hours some weeks, then not at all at other times. I've still got enough games in the backlog/on the wishlist to last me years. But for the high price point I can see why people want more and why there is disappointment
I love an Insomniac game, so would have had to upgrade to PS5 to play the newest Ratchet and Spiderman. But the speed of the console made the upgrade from PS4 instantly worth it for me
@nhSnork Have you actually tried the VR2 though? If you have, then fair enough. I've personally had some of the best gaming experiences of my life playing it. But everyone is different
Didn't play the first one, but really enjoyed watch dogs 2. Really good trophy list too, no excessive grinding like some ubisoft games are notorious for
@SgtTruth Ah yes, the good old time in history where you either got to go to work and earn your wage as normal, or got to stay at home and get 80% of your wage. Not that I'm bitter of course 😂
I do think games will go up in price from the current £70/$70, but I also think they're probably too cheap. I rarely buy anything at full price (mainly because of backlog) but video games give you the potential for many, many hours of entertainment. If you're buying cyberpunk for example, and playing for over 100 hours, it seems like quite a good deal to me really (as long as the game is in a polished state of course!)

It's time for Xbox to come up with a decent business strategy and stick to it
Re: Beware! Scalpers Reselling Astro Bot PS5 Controllers for Ridiculous Prices
Let's hope Sony releases a load more of these. That would surely damage a lot of business the scalpers are hoping to do?

Re: Reaction: PS5 Needs a Price Cut
@Titntin Exactly. Everything else in the world seems to be going up in price, but a games console that's selling well needs a price cut?
Re: Deals: PSVR2 Price Gets a Hefty Cut at Numerous UK Retailers
Also, it's £329.99 at Smyths

So do we know if this figure includes people who got it through subscriptions? Like the PS plus collection for example
