@Link - I feel almost the exact opposite way. Only about half of the Sports Resort games are worth playing, and are all considerably more shallow than the offerings in Sports Champions. Sports Champions also plays a hell of a lot smoother.
We'll see....tbh, I'm that guy who has 3 gun attatchments for my Wiimote but still tends to play games Wiimote only, so I'm gonna skip the plastic shells this time around SO PSYCHED FOR THIS GAME! My favorite rail shooter series since Virtua Cop derailed (are we ever gonna get a port of Virtua Cop 1, 2, and/or 3--especially 3 since to my knowledge it's never come out on consoles?)
I actually got to try it in an arcade a few months ago when I was traveling...it's loads of fun.
I played the TC 4 PS3 release back when it came out (was demo-ed in the store I worked in at the time) and I really didn't have any problems...the Guncon 3 felt just fine. Granted, they did make a kind of FPS-ey additional mode that required moving with the stick on the side (kinda like those parts on Link's Crossbow training) and given the small size of the analog nub on the side, it did get a little bit annoying...
Something to keep in mind--it comes with the arcade version of TC 4 only, so this kind of strange hybrid mode that muddied the original release's reception won't be present this time around anyway
Played it. Loved it. While 6 sports does feel limited, they're so much more fun than most of the Sports Resort offerings as individual games that this has me even closer to buying the starter pack. Played for a few hours last night--had a blast.
@Jamie - completely right. Buy/play the entire game--still on sale for another few hours in today's set of Amazon Lightning deals $39.99 really isn't bad, and that's probably the cheapest it'll be for a while.
@brilly - i coudlnt' feel more differently. Almost everything I didn't like about 4 (Ashley, re-running previously cleared areas, Ashley, artificially limited upgrade system, Ashley) were all fixed in spades in this release, and I think the motion controls/button layout are vastly superior to 4. RE5 ftw.
Not to mention--RE5 may provide the absolute best 2-player online experience of any game to date.
@Para - I mean...I really don't know what to say. If I was able to get Sheva's somewhat-busted AI to get me through the final battle on Pro, it's gotta be possible. I still don't understand how people can complain about Sheva if they were even able to tolerate the Ashley sections on RE4. Ashley is the reason I probably won't ever touch RE4 again...in case I didn't already make that obvious
I would totally play a game with a move-centric battle system. Dragon Quest swords without copious flaws would be a dream come true, or anything even sorta like it.
Square Enix should've said "We've made a couple attempts at Wiimote-centered RPGs, but unfortunately due to issues with both the hardware and out own inability to come up with a solid concept, they didn't turn out very well, thusly we've decided not to pursue the Move."
I wonder what basis they had for detailing that it couldn't be used as a shovel or paper fan.....in what context? And why these items? Weird article....or rather weird information contained in said article.
I think I'll be alright w/o dance/fitness titles, despite the fact that they're all I buy for my Wii..........
@NESGamepro - that response doesn't really help their marketing team.... If I ran a pizza place, asked what your favorite upcoming topping type was, and you said "I don't eat pizza for toppings--I like the dough"...I'd prob confusedly say "Uh...thanks man?" and call the next person.
I have no problem with the calibration assuming it stays calibrated--hell, take 30 snapshots...just don't require me to re-calibrate every time a fencing match gets heated....or any time I use the WMP at all for that matter.
I think it's official--looks like I'm spending an additional 100 bucks
@liam - now that you mention it....dragon quest swords would be amazing on PS Move--actually having the sword slice the way you want it to would make that game infinitely better...and might make the final extra boss fight possible

Then I'd find a better analogy.

Re: Oddworld Returning to PlayStation with Move-Enhanced Stranger's Wrath
I completely missed out on this series. What were these games? Adventure-type? Third person action?
Re: PlayStation Move Tipped to Trump Kinect Down Under
Move.
Australian for...beer?
Re: Witness PlayStation Move's Origins on PlayStation 2
Wow this opened my eyes. Regardless of technical differences, I wasn't aware they delved into the concept earlier.
I remember reading an article back in the early 2000s about them doing research on displaying sensory information directly to the brain. PS4, anyone?
