Always love these conversations showing the spoilt Americans losing their collective s@#t at $70 or $80 games. Try living in a different country where a new game is 100-150 of comparable local currency.
US gets games cheapest by far and then whinge the most at having to pay a bit more. All prices go up, inputs, labour and material are more expensive…but prices should stay the same? Maybe listen more in economics class kids…and check your privilege
@Futureshark Thanks for the response - that is exactly how I think / hope it works. It just seems so obvious a way to save $20 that I can't believe Sony would not do something to stop it.
As I am buying disc based I see no benefit at all in buying the PS5 disc version of Miles. Both will still need to be in drive to play but one is $20 cheaper. So where there is a free upgrade always seems sensible to buy the, likely cheaper, PS4 version!
I have been fortunate to get a day 1 pre-order. I am really keen to find out about the PS4 to PS5 upgrades specifically for Miles Morales. I will be trading in my PS4 Pro to help pay for some of PS5. I am also planning on buying Miles on Day1.
My question is can I buy PS4 Miles and then upgrade it to the PS5 version without ever using/activating first on a PS4? Reason is where I am Miles PS4 is $20 cheaper and I can then also lend the game to my brother when I am finished as he will not have a PS5.
It just seems so obvious to me to buy PS4 version and save $20. if as I have read everywhere the PS5 upgrade is free and easy.
thanks and I hope you can provide some clarity on this.
