Re: Lollipop Chainsaw's PS5 Revisit Now a Remaster Rather Than Remake

@LifeGirl Ewww… you used Elie from The Last Of Us as an example of good female representation in games? A LOT of people have been clambering for a remake/remaster of this game, things just don’t happen in the video game industry if there’s no demand for it. Lollipops Chainsaw is a beloved cult classic by the people who’ve played it, if nobody liked the game or it didn’t sell well in the first place, you wouldn’t be seeing a remaster of it.

Plus not every female character in a game has to be unattractive, non-feminine, masculine, ugly etc. Some of them like Juliet are allowed to be sexy and attractive, there’s nothing wrong with that. Your mindset on conventionally attractive women in games is quite regressive.

@Stevemalkpus it definitely would be enough to persuade me, Astro Bot Rescue Mission and Astro’s Playroom are INCREDIBLE! I would buy a PSVR 2 INSTANTLY! I have so much faith in Asobi Team (formally Japan Studio), and love Astro Bot so much, that I would get one without a moment of hesitation!

@zebric21 if they didn’t sell well enough for Sony to keep making em’ then they would’ve stopped greenlighting them. Sony has dropped plenty of games that haven’t sold well such as; Gravity Rush, Sly Cooper, Socom, Puppeteer etc. PlayStation is not afraid to drop IP’s if they don’t perform well.

@MagisterMagi I imagine it will be a PS5 game with PSVR 2 compatibility, that’s what makes the most sense imo. I think that would be for the best because most people don’t have PSVR 2 yet, (including myself) so they should make it a PS5 game where you have the option to play it on PSVR 2.

@thefourfoldroot1 You should check out Puppeteer! It was developed by Japan Studio for the PS3, but this is a 2D side-scrolling platformer but with a stage play aesthetic/theme, a narrator, live audience etc. It’s an amazing game with constantly shifting sets and props, new locations/scenery in every level and a dark yet funny sense of humor! I think you should check it out if you have the means to do so, it’s an incredible game!
