Probably not going to pick this one up as I already have plenty of gacha on my plate as it is.
That said I don't see why this game wouldn't get a PS5 port eventually.
There's no way Xbox would ever do this. They wouldn't be sticking it to Sony they'd be sticking it to themselves. From a business perspective there's no reason to keep supporting physical media despite how much the loud minority is crying over it. Heck if anything Xbox is probably grateful to Sony for paving the way for them to also be able to drop physical media.
Lol. Lmao even. Just goes to show how much of this "outrage" was all just performative in the end. But hey at least the "fans" spammed a lot of tweets and youtube comments. That counts for something right?
@LemanRusk A live service game like concord makes it's money back in spades if it succeeds. It's a risky but viable business strategy. Games like Genshin, Fortnite and Roblox account for like more half of all the money Playstation earns. So even after multiple flops it's no surprising they keep trying. Physical games are just a lose-lose scenario. No one's buying them and it makes no money.
Sure it's disappointing if you're a physical game fan but expecting a company to keep wasting tons of money on stuff the data shows time and time again people don't buy is just stupid. For all the "outrage" you see online almost no one is putting their money where their mouth is.
I don't fault Sony for staying it's course here.
I doubt this game will be that good considering it's a retooled live service game. If it was a B2P game from the start or stuck to being a live service game I'd be more interested.
@Rich33 The only thing I'm blaming them for is still crying and whining about this non-issue(that's easily solved by making an alt mind you) that's been a thing for like 2 decades. I'll say it over and over. If this affects you and you didn't make an alt it's 100% your own fault.
@Rich33 Most of those counties are third world countries or politically unstable ones if I recall correctly. So I'd wager there's plenty of reason to leave besides wanting PSN access. That said I'm fairly sure most of those countries couldn't access it since the PS3 days so again if they haven't made an alt by now it's on them. I really don't see why we should care about this.
Another non-issue These countries have never had access to PSN in the first place. If people from there haven't made an alt or moved away by this point it's entirely on them.

So much for a "position of strength"
Re: Beast of Reincarnation (PS5) - Pokémon Dev's Flower Power Action RPG Is Nearly in Full Bloom
Did Gamefreak really develop this? Sure it's not them slapping their name on a game while another studio actually does 99% of the work?

They've been caught red handed and now they are damage controlling.

@electrolite77
On this very website we had articles covering it. Last one I recall was one showing how most of Capcom's sales are digital.

Feels like this company has only been going downward ever since they moved away from Sony.

Just Super Saiyan Bardock alone makes this DLC worth it for me.
Re: This Revelation Should Terrify All Console Fans, Particularly Those Looking Forward to PS6
The PS6 won't ever be $1k+. I'm 100% sure Sony would rather eat the loss than sell at that price.
