Re: Opinion: The Price of Playing PS5 Games Day One Is Getting Higher and Higher

Markatron84

Playing games on launch or 72 hours early doesn't interest me in the slightest anymore. At launch, games are expensive (although, adjusting for inflation, they're actually cheaper than they've ever been) and oftentimes buggy or unbalanced.

If you pre-order a game nowadays just so you can be part of the conversation, then you're paying through the nose for the privilege of being able to complain with everyone else about how borked the game is.

Re: PS Vita Fans Want Soul Sacrifice to Return on PS5, PS4 Next

Next to The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, Soul Sacrifice was my most played Vita game, and I would absolutely jump on a remaster (for PC; I don't own consoles).

@get2sammyb it was absolutely grim; I loved the gothic twists on all the creatures and characters from myths, folklore and fairy tales, and the origin stories behind each one.

@Leon_93 Gravity Rush was another Vita gem. There were a lot of underrated games on that platform.

I played the demo of this on PC and even on a 4080 I was experiencing frequent frame drops, so it sounds like the developers haven't sorted that out and the game isn't well optimised on any platform. Which is weird, because it's not like the game is much of a looker either.

@N1ghtW1ng it's a crime that Evolution wasn't able to carry on with Driveclub. A Sony executive just this week stated that the company doesn't have enough IP that it's nurtured from inception. Yeah, because you do sh*t like this; closing the studio after a single game in a potential franchise and never touching it again.

Re: Sony Flop Concord Axed Two Weeks After PS5, PC Release

@__jamiie your last reply to me was removed before I could see it. Go figure. LUCKILY, I still got the email. Do you think maybe it is about respect? Do you think that maybe, just maybe, if everyone actually just respected people enough to accept them as who they are, we'd probably hear nothing about the matter? Ever? Instead, we have people so up in arms; "ooooh I'm being told how to refer to people, however will I cope?" Grow up, respect people more. That's all I'm going to say.

Re: PS5, PC Shooter Concord Dead on Arrival, Is Being Taken Offline This Week as Dev 'Explores Options'

@theSpectre @puddinggirl yeah, the whole "Concord failed because of pronouns" thing a lot of people - from your bog standard gamers to some fairly big YouTubers - have latched onto is utter *****. I have unsubscribed to a fair few people on YouTube since Concord came out, because I was sick of seeing the words "woke" and "pronouns" in video titles and thumbnails. People who are "anti-woke" and complain about pronouns are garbage human beings.
