Re: Whoa, You Can Buy a PS3 for £99 in the UK Boxing Day Sales

Manic7Muppet8

Unless you've already been lucky enough to track down a PS4, you would be daft not to get a PS3 at that price..!! The PS3 has got easily another 12 months left in its life cycle considering its upcoming releases, and the one advantage it has over its successor is it has a huge back catalog of great games.

Not that interested in Battlefield 4, TBH, I bought Battlefield 3 on release, and the season pass, and its one of those games I'll play for a bit online with friends then I lose interest for a bit.
I'll probably pick up Assassin's Creed 4 for the PS3, to go with the rest of my games backlog, when it drops in price a bit.
Not bothering with PS4 at the moment - kinda got stung twice already by being a console early adopter (PS3 on launch, PS Vita shortly after launch)....

Re: FAQ: What Are the Differences Between the PS4 and Xbox One?

Manic7Muppet8

If PS4 supported PS3 game backward compatability, I would already have one pre-ordered.
Instead I'm choosing to wait at least 12 months post-launch and see what happens, getting both a PS3 on launch day and a PS Vita shortly after launch has taught me the benefits of hindsight when it comes to commiting early to a new console.
I have a substantial backlog of PS3 games to keep me going plus there are still some games worth staying with my PS3 for on the horizon, e.g. GTAV, XCOM Declassified.
Probably will end up getting a PS4 eventually, I have always preferred Sony's consoles.
For now I'm in no rush and am happy to sit and wait see what happens...

Re: PlayStation Network Sales Explode, Plus Subscribers Double

Manic7Muppet8

I agree with Ginkgo's comments... I tend to use PSN for its free demos, recent example includes the demos for PES2013 and FIFA13.
I have not been a PS+ subscriber since the free month given as an apology for the PSN hack, I spend way too much money on games as it is.

I do tend to use PSN to download DLC for games and games exclusive to the PSN network, recent examples being Virtua Fighter: Final Showdown, Jet Set Radio, and Tokyo Jungle.

Again agreeing with Ginkgo, I refuse on principle to buy new game releases from PSN, that I can buy on disc cheaper and save my HDD space for network only games.
