@CRASH64 I agree to a certain extent but Microsoft won publisher of the year in 2021. I agree they need consistency though.

If this deal gets blocked I really hope Microsoft stops being so friendly to Sony and start playing the same game Sony does all the time. Sony just gets away with too much. Im sure Sony voicing their concern to regulators played a role in this finding.
Many on this website praising Jim Ryan about trying to block this deal would be the same ones gloating how great Sony is and would throw call of duty being exclusive to playstation in everyone's face. If the roles was reversed and Sony was buying activision do you really think Sony would offer a 10 year deal for Call of Duty to stay on Xbox? Or better yet would they try and bring Call of Duty to Nintendo? What about steam? I think we all know the answer to that. Everyone would just say hey get a playstation if you want to play Call of Duty. What happened to all these poweful pcs everyone claimed they had when Microsoft first started putting their games on pc. Couldnt everyone just continue to play call of duty on their super powerful pcs everyone bragged about or was that just bs? This will suck for fans of Nintendo that could've had call of duty return to their platform. Tencent buys everything and know one bats a eye but Microsoft buys and the sky is falling. Sony raised games prices, Sony raised console prices first, Sony was against cross play and Sony actually started cloud gaming on consoles first but the CMA has issues with cloud gaming all of a sudden. This is getting ridiculous. If this gets blocked and Microsoft start doing all these timed exclusives for big games like Sony do it'll be interesting to see how everyone reacts to the hypocrisy

Yes they should, because I would love to see if the gaming media and fans of Sony will react the same. Will we see talks about a Monopoly? Will we have over 5000 articles written about will this or that game will come to Xbox and Nintendo? Will fans of Sony stick up for other console players and say games shouldn't be exclusive to playstation? Wish everyone would just calm down about this until we see what Microsoft plan on doing with this Activision purchase. Microsoft could very well keep everything multiplatform for all we know.

@Nem if you really think Facebook would've been better then dude I seriously don't know what to tell you. Microsoft wasn't the first choice for Activision they just accepted to buy the company. Read it the info is out there. If Sony would've had the money I'm quite sure they would've been approached to buy Activision too. If it was Sony that brought them would your argument be the same? So having options is bad now? All I see now is gamepass this and gamepass that you do know that you can still buy physical games or digital if that's your taste on Xbox and pc even though there's gamepass right? Just like psnow is to gamepass its a service that you don't have to use. Do you complain about Netflix? You do know that you can still buy bluray even though Netflix Amazon prime, Hulu, HBO max and many other streaming platforms right? And for the whole kinect no used games argument you do know that the current ceo of Microsoft wasn't in charge then right? You do know the ceo and Dan matrick who was responsible for that are no longer working for Microsoft right? When management changed all those policies reversed in an instant. And for the taking away from competitors argument you do know you can play Xbox games on your phone, laptop, and soon tv with a gamepass app, hell it was just mentioned by the man in charge of Xbox that they are working on a streaming stick so seems to me you don't need Xbox to enjoy the games they make. If I want to play Sony games I have to own the console to play said game, I think I along with many others would pick the one that I have different options to play the games I want to play. I'm no shill for Microsoft just get tired of the bs like Sony is just the innocent players in this hell Sony does the same kinda *****. Not on the level of ms but if they was a almost 3 trillion dollar company I know for a fact Sony would be alot worse that what everybody trying to make MS look like.

@edwardex dude u can literally play Xbox games on your phone, pc, or console. You have choices. If I want to play Sony games I have to buy a console or maybe in the future pc. Not disagreeing with you but just remember everyone saying they had a pc to play Xbox games when it was announced their games will be day one pc. now I'm seeing what about low income gamers? Just an interesting comment you made.

Can you imagine how different this comment section would be if the roles was reversed? I remember when Microsoft said they will support Xbox one for 2 years before the new generation started and everyone from fan boys to gaming media websites demolished Microsoft saying how it's holding back next generation games. Sony came out and said we believe in generations and now look. Sony does what Microsoft said they was going to do and everyone is praising Sony like they're God. If Microsoft had announced they will continue to make Xbox one and sony said they would focus on ps5 and next gen you Sony fan boys would be screaming to the rooftops how Microsoft is screwing gaming but since it's Sony it's the right business decision and won't hold back gaming right? But but Sony has an install base of 120 million so it only makes sense (I already know thats going to be the response o and also that how most cant get a ps5 now). Unbelievable really how when Sony does or says something no one bats an eye but when it's Microsoft it's always doom and gloom. You fanboys on this site is hilarious! It’s funny Microsoft got demolished by fanboys and the media for announcing cross generation games but now since Sony is doing it no one bats a eye and everyone is happy for it. Typical hypocrites when it involves Sony. The goal posts moves yet again for Sony when they do the same thing that Microsoft gets hammered for doing! Amazing

But I thought all PlayStation owners owned a pc with a 2080ti so they don't need to buy Xbox to play Xbox games. All I see in the comment section now is how Microsoft is evil and Bethesda games are mediocre anyway. What happened to everyone having a pc? It just makes me laugh how the comments changed so fast but if it was PlayStation thought brought Bethesda all you would be praising Sony for having exclusive games Xbox fans wouldn't be able to play! At the end of the day its just business. I'm going to buy a ps5 to play Sony exclusive games and will buy a Xbox to play the games i want to play from microsoft, problem solved everyone should just play what they want to play and stop complaining about companies that don't care anything about gamers.
