Really enjoyed both games. I think part of my issue with Yotei is the same with a lot of Sony sequels this generation. They don’t wow me nearly as much as the original titles did. They all feel very safe. Almost like these sequels really could’ve been an expansion to the first game instead of a whole new title release many years later.

Also more specifically with Yotei I was really hoping for an overhaul of the fighting mechanics. I was very let down to see that they essentially kept the same rock/paper/scissors combat from the first game. It really made combat feel kinda boring. I’m supposed to be playing as this great warrior, but I’m limited in how I can approach fights? I’m presented with what should be incredible fights where almost anything could happen, but if I’m not using the proper weapon I get smacked on the nose by my opponent.

I made it just in time then. Just got the platinum trophy for this game today. I would not have had the patience to learn how to survive the last secret boss battle without all the damage Maelle did for my team.

Wishing for an update for Little Devil Inside but I won’t get my hopes up.

@DrVenture69 I’m still holding on to hope it’ll be out this year. But the lack of info beyond the announcement trailer is a bit rough. Still not as bad as the long silence on Little Devil Inside though.

Been waiting for this and the Suikoden remasters for what feels like an eternity. These are the main releases I’m looking forward to this year.

Bought it. Can’t play it. There is no option to invert vertical aim on either game. Tried to play for five minutes and gave up. Of course Sony won’t refund it because I had the audacity to download and install a digital purchase. Stuff like this is why I buy games less and less every year. Studio should be embarrassed they released this dumpster fire.

I’d be much more excited if I hadn’t bought it during the holiday sale but it’s good news to anyone else that’s been on the fence about getting it like I was before I bought it. Easily one of my favorite games of the last two years.

Getting harder to justify paying for premium every single month. At this rate I might just drop all the way down to essential when my current sub expires.

I’m also holding on to the dream that maybe a Xenogears remaster or remake could happen. All my hoping finally paid off for the suikoden remasters so I will continue dreaming for the time being.

I’ve been dreaming of remasters for these games and Xenogears for so long. This is definitely a day one purchase for me. Gives me hope maybe Xenogears could actually happen some day.
