Loved every game in the series, day one purchase for me. It ticks all my boxes I love the oddball Japanese vibes. I just need Namco to now focus on a new Ridge Racer with more old school RR vibes, I’m trying to manifest it into happening…
@Dogbreath it’s frustrating that Namco will gladly continue to create new entries for example in the Ace Combat and Katamari series but have little faith in a new RR. Namco are to blame though for derailing the RR series, the last run of games were terrible and completely lost sight of what made RR great.
Why can’t we just have a new Ridge Racer in the style of the old games (1-4)? Namco continues to show love to pretty much all of its franchises apart from RR…
Yep 👍 I’d rather have Jusant or Stray over the majority of AAA games nowadays. I think the attraction of these quality indies is also the length of the game which provide a well crafted tale without outstaying their welcome.
@Dan12836666 absolutely! Jusant was massively overlooked by the mainstream, I’m glad it’s going to get more exposure. It’s a beautiful game, and it’s one of the rare games where I was sad it ended.
@RoomWithAMoose I think the topic raised has almost everything to do with this situation. I can only speak for myself and say that the majority of the time I want to immerse myself in a game where I feel like the character represents me, this adds to the immersive nature of it. The facts are there in the lack of sales and the number of shutdown studios…
@RoomWithAMoose I’d say Moana 2 was an anomaly for Disney and was especially surprising given the panning it got. I mean take a look at their other recent output, The Marvels, The Acolyte…need I say more.
@RoomWithAMoose yeah there was a number of issues with this one. But I think the industry in general seems oblivious to their main audience demographics and paying customers…
@RoomWithAMoose I think it’s fair to say that something as central as the character that you’re playing can be a major factor of why a game doesn’t sell well. I know personally when I want to immerse myself in a game I want to play as a character that shares similar attributes to myself.

Re: Silent Hill F Is Another Game That Stumbles on PS5 Pro
It begs the question of why have we as Pro owners paid more for a console only to get the worst versions of games!?
