Sony has the biggest bunch of melts in executive decision makong positions.
Just make Socom. You have the prize IP for.a live service PVE, PVP game rather than adapting something else which is tired, worn out or a misguided attempt at understanding what people want.
I’ve been with playstation since day 1. Ps1 and ps2 in launch window (i got them the xmas they came out being a kid) and launch day for ps3, ps4 and ps5. I had 2 ps2’s, 2 ps3’s a ps4 and a ps4 pro - a psp and a vita aswell as a psvr1 too, and finally a launch day ps5. I have had other consoles along side these, but the console i bought all my multiplat games and spent 95% of my time on has always been playstation.
To say that, after all this time i am reconsidering where i play moving forward is a big deal for me. I love physical, i always have and my digital library of paid games is probably about 3% of everything i have.
I know that the competition dont offer physical either, but as a company Sony have consistently turned an anti-consumer screw over the past few years and thats the biggest factor in asking myself where my money should go, and this is the straw thats breaking the camels back.
I now believe the reason the pc ports are done is to monopolise their position and build a wall around their house and reduce choice.
I’ve never been a big pc gamer, i havent played on pc for well over 10 years, but i think it might be time unless things change in sonys camp and decision making - enough is enough.
