This new Sonic game has been one big marketing disaster. Sega rush every 3D sonic game, he was their mascot at one point, imagine sonic games with Mario levels of polish. For the record I adore sonic adventure 1 and 2, I WANT this to be good, but I've got no faith in Sega at this point
Just do what I do - have a backlog so intimidatingly large that by the time you get on top of it the games that were popular months ago are already almost half price! Works a charm
I have this on switch - it's kind of of fun with joy cons, but for the love of God people, unless it gets PlayStation move or VR support don't bother on Playstation. Playing it with a controller kills the joy of this game
This is a real shame. The evil within was flawed but had some really good ideas and enemies sprinkled throughout, the evil within 2 was actually pretty damn good albeit nowhere near as popular. Was hoping it'd be a case of third time lucky, might pick this up when it's on a (deep) sale or humble bundle further down the line
After SO many online only games having server outages in the past you'd think developers would wise up and stay away from it in single player... I remember being angry at Diablo 3 being offline for hours when I bought it and that was what, a decade ago?
Fair play to them, great they're doing this. There's so many PS4 games I'm avoiding on PS5 because of the 30fps lock... Crash bandicoot, shadow of war and the last guardian to name a few.
Now I normally love any and all gaming presentations but wow this one was p**s weak, not a single new game in that 20 minutes seemed exciting (the exception is the Returnal update, which looks amazing but isn't a new game)
@Carl-G oh don't be such a sour fanboy, more people playing an amazing game like God of War is a good thing! I have friends who would never in a million years buy a PlayStation, but now they get to experience this gem, Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone. Microsoft have given up on exclusives, they release everything on PC too, it's only Nintendo left with that strategy.
I cannot stress enough how mind blowing half life Alyx is. I've been playing videogames for over 20 years and nothing has ever impressed me to the extent of Half Life Alyx. It's your childhood VR dreams come to life and it has to be experienced if you get here chance, words don't do it justice.
@lolwhatno hahaha bingo! I also used to love them as a kid, I genuinely used to stand around in that game listening to the music and watching them dance, simpler times eh? Glad you enjoyed the nostalgia!
I enjoy both games, but seriously on the base PS4 Ghost of Tshushima was leagues ahead of Days Gone in terms of polish and stability. Days Gone runs like a dream on PC and PS5, but I'm afraid on release it didn't feel great to play, the gameplay and plot are enjoyable but it was rough around the edges whereas GoT ran and played much smoother.
It's cosmetic only DLC for Deep rock, I have clocked over 100 hours in the Steam version and trust me, unless you want to support the developers the DLC is irrelevant
@FullMetalWesker my friend Skyrim special edition was a free PC upgrade, Hellblade got ray tracing for free just last week, the witcher 3 is getting an enhanced edition for free (free on PlayStation too) and the Witcher 1 and 2 enhanced edition upgrades were free and Rome total war 2 got the free "emporer edition" upgrade. That's just a few examples. Pay the 10 £/$ if you like and enjoy the game, but don't act like it isn't a rip off when PC and Xbox are getting the same treatment for free with no strings attached. Sony are just milking people for a slightly shinier game that they already own, upgrades should be free unless it's like Tsushima and adds legit content that wasn't in the base game
@lumothesinner yeah for sure, don't get me wrong I love Sony games, but PC is my main platform and I've been playing the same games on increasingly better hardware for 20 years and haven't paid for an upgrade of resolution/frame rate. You'd think it'd be in Sony's interests to have more people play the PS5 upgraded games not fewer
Genuinely baffles me how many people are okay with the paid upgrades Sony are offering? Microsoft don't charge for next gen upgrades, PC has always had free upgrades when you beef up your hardware, why do Sony seemingly get a free pass for this? It's shockingly greedy
Hi lads and lasses - I've played 120 hours of this on PC, it's SO good. If you like horde based shooters like vermintide, world war z or left 4 dead - it has similar "swarm" combat but combines it with the best procedural generation I've seen across various mining related missions. If you have any questions hit me up cos I can't reccomend this game enough!
Good list. In my opinion it's absolutely nonsensical that many developers of games in the 'PS+ Collection' - which are included for any PS Plus subscribers with a PS5 - did not push out a performance patch. I got my PS5, downloaded the Crash trilogy, Bloodbourne Persona 5, The Last Guardian and Until Dawn and was bitterly disappointed at how unimpressive they look/run considering the PS5's power.
