@Member_the_game try telling an indie dev to ignore 50 million active users still on PS4. Those sales could mean the difference in years of extra development time for their next game, let alone keeping a studio open. The AAA Sony funded Spider-man 2 is not on PS4. It still hasn't turned a profit.

Got the platinum for all 3 games (twice for Mafia 2). Love the series. I'm surprised the trilogy or Mafia1 remake hasn't had a PS5 Port or 60fps patch.

Up to 200 games! Really?! I have 65 games and space on my 1TB don't indies count as games?

It's been 5 years since Bluepoint did Demon's Souls. They've been working on that original title for a while now.

It's a shame Sony didn't support Bluray3D with PS5. Even video files via USB aren't supported. PSVR2 is very affordable for the film fanatic. A 3D projector and silver screen cost $1000s. PSVR1 didn't do too well here because the resolution was so low. I would buy a VR2 if it supported media more. Even YouTube VR isn't supported.

The explosion didn't kill the crew. It was the impact with the water 2 minutes 45 seconds later, at 200mph. The investigation revealed this and they were likely unconscious.

@species Challenger had a member of the public onboard, a school teacher. She was selected and thousands of schools around the world were watching and being taught all about the mission throughout the school term.

Been PS+ since it started on PS3. Subbed to extra when Stray came out. Actually letting it expire this month. Usually get a 25% discount this time of year but nope. I think a lot of subs will expire, only giving new customers 30% upgrade option is an insult to loyal customers.

@GeeForce cheaper far superior? With eye tracking?

@yohn777 Bethesda has a proven track record of taking forever to release a game. They announced the new Elder Scrolls six years ago in 2018. That still has to be released and is still years away. Fallout would be after that. Development time alone takes years and years even after shutting down and consolidating studios to start it recently. Fast tracking a new Fallout still means many years away.

@hel105 nah, I used to be addicted to upgrading PC and all that, trying to get better frames and resolution. Sticking to console bypasses all that and just lets you play the game as it is presented. Being older, a handheld isn't for me either. Plus I do like trophies.

Always been envious of Forza Horizon 4, so hopefully that'll cross over some day.

Will the new emulator support PS2 titles already released? Manhunt is mostly broken on PS5.

@anoyonmus Do they need the source code? The PS1, PS2, and Vita games all run in emulators on PS4/5. I think adding trophies is not a problem. Ps1 games like 2extreme, G-police, Jet Moto, Kurushi, Wild Arms, are unlikely to have gone back to the source code to add trophies. There are many 3rd party PS1 games that don't have trophies added also, so it depends how it's handled maybe

I really just want them to drop the PS1 Silent Hill on PS4/5 with trophies.

Oh wow, this just reminded me of the never released Hellraid. Techland's medieval open world horror fantasy. Coming off the back of the Dead Island games. The demo reveal looked amazing back in 2013! Always hoped this would get picked back up.

Nah, Avalanche's game is pure gameplay. Kojima would add 15 hours of non skippable cutscenes. Max hardly talks anyway. You'd think there would have been a PS5 patch to bring the current game upto 60fps etc. a Furiosa tie in.

@Darude84 yeah I just realised I only played the PS+extra version also. I've completed it minus the xenoglyph trophy and a glitch at lv 24 when going for Weapon Proficiency lv30 trophy. I game I'd want to go back to, to finish it off. It just feels great in motion and with an upgraded Hollowseeker.

The problem for Microsoft here is that this is a niche title about mental health. It's a technical showcase but not a mainstream action title. They are missing out on FOMO purchases, from actual paying customers, not GP subs. I think it'll have mixed to middling reviews and game length to price ratio will effect post release sales. Starfield has missed that window massively. It could have sold a staggering amount of units at launch, on Playstation, at full price. I even looked into upgrading my PC but the FOMO eventually wore off.

With so many people working on it, focus is lost. There is no team vision and synergy. It'll be a patchwork of good, mediocre and bad forced together, from teams all over the world. It'll be a broken, inefficiently optimised mess . . . Like the last one.

I went all 7 years with my PS4 from launch day to PS5 launch day. Even got the plat on Ghost of Tsushima an hour before my PS5 was delivered. Loved that little jet engine. I'd have gone for a pro if mine broke. Same with the PS5 but tbh I don't care about 4k. there's so much more optimisation that can be done with 1080p performance. Or even 1440p. The only game I've noticed a meaningful difference with is Sniper Elite 5. Even then I prefer close up on my LG 32" 1080p over sofa distance Sony 60" 4k.

Reminds me of the excellent character fidelity, an animation, in the Knowledge is Power/Decades games on PS4. A real shame the underutilised PlayLink feature doesn't work on PS5.

@JohntheRaptor thy're releasing mod support with a ps5 patch alter in the year. Probably to coincide with the xbox release of Stalker 2 in September.

@Shakybeeves oof, you have been busy. Yeah, i bought this, when it came out on PC (back on XP). I didn't really understand RPGs and it was buggy as heck. Playing it now, after Fallout, Skyrim and DayZ etc, it plays great. Can't wait to explore more.

After a few hours getting used to it, I'm really happy with the port. Runs smooth as butter on PS5. Looks good for its age imo. A little fiddly with the controller settings and I'm happy. 3 open world games to dive into. I'll probably watch a few videos on how to get OP early on (weapons, gear, artefacts). What a drop!

EDIT: I just got the trilogy downloading for £15.99 haha! awesome. Even if it's worth waiting for a better PS5 patch later in the year. money saved.

@__jamiie It's an amazingly well designed controller. Dirt will always get inside moving parts. It is a fact with anything.

@Splat you could just clean the analogue contacts with a cotton bud and isopropyl.

After playing for quite a few hours on TOMB RAIDER II, I've found that the PS5 version is way too dark in both classic and Remaster modes. Very hard to see sometimes. I'm not playing on a HDR screen and there are no graphics options for gamma etc. Switched to the PS4 version (playing on the PS5) and it is much clearer. Gamma is a little lighter. Anyone else notice this? also texture behind ladders move around. looks very odd.

@MattBoothDev On my second playthru (back at ps4 game release), a collectible just wasn't there, breaking my collectible run. I just deleted it and moved on. I wasn't really enjoying it so I've let that platinum go.

@MattBoothDev did that for me on Tsushima till I opened photo mode in that. May be a simple trophy like that maybe?

@Americansamurai1 Yeah that's be a shame, the cars and radio in Mafia 1 just aren't as good as Mafia 2 and 3. I'd still buy it day one of course. Would just love to plat them all again. Really enjoyed all the DLC for Mafia 3.

I'm just hoping for a surprise announce of Mafia Trilogy PS5/SeriesX. The definitive, definitive edition!

Nice to see Aliens Dark Descent on the list. Absolutely loved it and has had really good support to improve it further.

@darthvirgin I'm literally having a blast with that game! Makes sense though. It's not a new game. Got a later release on PS.

I took the day off work for the GTAV launch on PS3. My preorder arrived after I would have finished work that day!

I tend to only go after the credits or if I have a game already installed of late. Some games can be launched after a partial install and that does it. A lot of the challenges are only really viable for those with expanded storage and a Lan cable.

@Rob_230 you choose which is used for default installs. When you go to storage you can see both drives and their capacity. Updates for games go to where that game is installed. You can transfer from one to the other if you want to re-organise. The same as having 2 drives on a PC. Very intuitive.

had my eye on Lunark. The dev posted that it has been delayed by a week on Playstation. Not out tomorrow.
