That's pretty much the same approach the series seems to have taken, going by what I know of the anime, so it's not too surprising, but still refreshing to see this game go the same way.
@Pretzel_Jones - If that's a response to my lack of variety comment, I should mention that I'm talking from a visual design standpoint, not a 'aliens lives matter' perspective. Using aliens in Star Wars basically allows for more variety in visual design, and occasionally character design as well, and if there's one thing that sets Star Wars apart, it's its visuals.
To be fair, this is something that affects Star Wars as a whole, not just this game, but it's still disappointing that I can probably count the number of alien protagonists on one hand.
@carlos82 - Pretty sure being from earth doesn't make you a human; it's just a coincidence that irl, humans happen to be born there.
@Ron22 - The 'nickel and dime' complaints are usually criticisms of games that ship incomplete, with the missing content released later at a cost. Here though, the game is a complete product, but there are some (myself included) who would've liked some more additional content (mostly characters) to be released. In other words, the general stance on DLC is, as far as I can figure out, that it's fine as long as it's either free or additional content to an already complete game, but not if it's part of the main game cut out and sold separately.
Personally, I feel that if games like DMC, Ninja Gaiden, and Bayonetta can include an easy mode, most other games can include them without much trouble; Whether they do or not is up to them.
To be fair, 7/10 isn't that bad for a game like Jump Force; I mean, sure, a 7/10 doesn't tend to be as valuable as it would be for another medium, but it's still not bad for a game that's more a celebration of manga IPs than a serious attempt at creating a 10/10 GOTY title.
@Rob_230 From what I read (and my own experience) the only enemies in the demo are standard zombies, though you see claw marks and other such things along the way. @fluggy - Not quite, but not by much. From what I understand, the demo end when you re-enter the main area and talk to the cop there.
While 72% sounded like a high number at first, when you consider how much there is in the demo, and how little time you get to explore it all (at least in one sitting) in retrospect it's probably not so unexpected. I almost finished it, but like others, probably spent a bit too much time checking out the optional areas for secrets (still got a good amount of enjoyment out of it though).
Yeah, this thing seems a bit off in it's calculations; It says my most played game is Bloodborne when I've put more hours into FFXII (which is completely absent from my top 3), that I've played Dark Souls III for 132 when I've actually played over 150 hours, and that my rarest trophy was the Chain of Memories Plat, when in actuality I have three trophies that are rarer. It even tries to tell me I've only played 25 games on the PS4 when the number of games I've played is 36.
About the only thing it (probably) did get right was that my first game was Gran Turismo Sport.
"but Gran Turismo, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, and WipEout were never going to make the grade due to licensing issues,"
Wait, I can understand Tony Hawk, and maybe WipEout, but why would Gran Turismo have licensing issues?
On the broader topic, while I do agree that the PS1 had a fair few popular, well-received franchises, I wouldn't say it was night and day compared to the N64. For example, you bring up Zelda OoT and Super Mario 64 as the only big titles on the console, but neglected to mention other big titles such as Mario Kart 64, Super Smash Bros, Goldeneye 007, Perfect Dark, Zelda: Majora's Mask, Pokemon Stadium, etc. All of which could arguably While I agree that no list can please everyone (that pretty much goes without saying) I would still argue that the list we got left a lot to be desired. As I mentioned in the other article though, it seems Sony was going for novelty more than anything, with only three (from what I could see) crowd pleasers to sweeten the deal, so I guess this was somewhat inevitable.
I guess we know why they didn't release the entire roster earlier. From the looks of things there don't seem to be many classic games here, and it seems they're going more for novelty and first-in-the-series titles than a Greatest Hits like what Nintendo's been doing with their own Classics Mini range. It's the only explanation I can think of for choosing stuff like Cool Boarders 2 and Destruction Derby over Tony Hawk and Gran Turismo.

@ShogunRok @Shigurui - Doesn't this announcement confirm that there won't be a Special Edition though? (That's what it sounded like to me)
