I don't have any issues with it personally. I don't see why this should change the rating of the game when the base game offers more than enough content both game mode wise and customizability.
I don't think it should come as a surprise considering Harada had talked about adding a shop and how it's supposed to help fund supporting the game.
They even said with the new characters, they'll add more story content for free.
This is just customization and aesthetics. Gives no advantage to the gameplay whatsoever.
My only issue is the predatory way they went about the microtransactions similar to other games where you can't buy exactly 400 coins and so you're forced to have leftovers currency.
Otherwise, this microtransaction feels no different than the monster hunter ones that will hopefully help support them in adding free content later on.
Interesting... I'm glad to hear that it takes a bunch of extra steps with the battle mechanics to differentiate itself from Pokemon. I hope with all these additions and quality of life improvements, it'll stir up some competition and force Gamefreak to put more effort in their next game.
Considering the developers are still working on it, I'm hoping they continue to add unique temtems in the future!
There's always going to be people who are unhappy with the results of these types of events.
At the end of the day, if you as an individual enjoyed a game and felt/experienced something unique that others did not, then you won through that great experience. Regardless of what others think.
All these games had an impact on players and all of them probably meant a lot to some of them. They're all GOTY worthy. It's just a matter of who's playing them and what they get out of them.
PS5 controller has been a blast to use. Astro playroom had me smiling the entire time with how they took advantage over the controller.
That being said, I wish they put more effort with the Dpads. Maybe it's just me but as someone who loves fighting games, I'm finding it hard to land certain combos with it. Maybe I just need more time but that's my only complaint.
@Porco I believe it's moreso for people who are on the fence on dishing out 60$ (79.99$ here in Canada) on a game. Plus to be fair, they generally limit it to gameplay stuff. It helps give people an idea as to what to expect without saying anything about the story.
Personally I'd very much prefer getting my hands on a playable demo over a video with someone explaining the gameplay. Either way, I hope you enjoy the game fully once it comes out!
I bought the CE for my dad who's a long time RE fan. i haven't had the chance to play it yet since he's been hogging it all day. Based off what he's said, it seems like it's a great game. The only issue he had with it was the length of the game but that's not stopping him from having multiple playthroughs. At least I got Persona 5R keeping me busy for now
Dualshock 4 is definitely my favorite but I'm really looking forward for the new one.
I especially feel with this design, they can whip out some nice special edition versions. I've always found the dualshock 4 ones lackluster compared to the xbox ones so I'm crossing my fingers they take advantage of it.
For example with the avengers game, they can make a green & purple for hulk, red & gold/yellow for iron man and so on.
Pretty excited for this one! I just hope they put in more care into it compared to Kakarot although I still enjoyed that one as well. The fact that there's actual blood in that teaser gives me hope.

Surprised nobody said this yet but...
That's rad
Re: Spider-Man: Miles Morales PS5 Update Adds Ray Tracing at 60FPS, Here's What It Looks Like
Guys come on. The difference is so noticeable. The ray tracing one has an open sign while as the 30fps one he doesn't.
"Open 24 hours" smh
Jokes aside, really cool update. Insomniac keeps on giving!
