@Mr_Singh the biggest problem honestly is Yakuza burnout. I was introduced to it via Kiwami then went back to 0 which was even better. Two is great too but then there's the grind of 3-5 (PS3 graphics and rough gameplay) and by the time you get to 6 I was invested in the world but honestly I needed a long break.
Maybe that's why I'm so forgiving with Like a Dragon and Infinite Wealth, I needed a whole new story and style of play.
Anyway I think it's best to play roughly in number order, 6 and The Man Who Erased his Name acter 3 (although now remade I guess) and 4 in particular being a slog. Also 5 iirc is about 20 percent too long.
@SeanOhOgain Me neither really. I tried it about a year ago and bounced off after 20 minutes.
Saints Row 3 and 4 really chimed with me and since I really struggle with any sort of enjoyment of GTA. I'm mostly done with this sort of crime world and moved fully on to the Yakuza bandwagon.
Agree with everyone who thinks 3 is clunky. Played all the mainline games mostly in order but the drop in control and feel from 2 Kiwami to 3 is stark. Yakuza 3-5 is a bit of a chore as is with 3 being the most egregious. Would definitely replay 3 with the update, better yet if they bring back the Yakuza 0-2 hostess management game.
@Westernwolf4 I've played and finished This is the Police 1 and 2 too, really enjoyed it. Some bits were slightly repetitive but both had me playing until about 1am on "school nights" due to that one more go factor games like this have.
I'd say the first is better than the second, which introduces a very simply but ropey XCom element plus if I recall there was a bug on my last mission so I had to watch the conclusion on YouTube.
Psychonauts 2 is a very solid game, for me better than Rachet and Clank as a 3D platformer.
For those asking why only PS4: Double Fine the producers were bought out by Microsoft but a Playstation version of the game was still in the contract. Sony got the baseline version. Maybe we'll see a remaster in the future now Microsoft has changed its business strategy.

Re: Baldur's Gate 3 Story Will Continue in New HBO TV Show
@rjejr glad someone referred to there already being two pretty good DnD series already in existence.
I guess Fallout series is set after all the games but it's set in the world rather than using the core characters I guess.
Re: Rumour: Starfield PS5 Release Date Is Set for 7th April
Will give it a go when it comes out eventually on sale. Public reviews for Veilguard were horrendous but it was an acceptable 7/10 for me.
Expedition 33 is everyone's GOTY but I found it a bit of a slog, gameplay wise. Horses for courses.
Re: Survival Strategy Star Trek Voyager Targets PS5 Release Next Month
@CallMeDuraSouka Star Trek: Resurgence would like a word.
Joke, it's a flipping janky mess that's just about still fun in a TellTale way.

Re: Game of the Year: #9 - The Alters
Bought this game yesterday morning, couldn't put it down until 11pm only because of a major bug that means I can't complete a key Alter task.
It's so good I want to complete it entirely so will wait for a patch hopefully soon.
A bit of No Man's Sky, A bit of Sims, a tiny bit of XCom and lots of "branching" narrative. The best game of the year for me.

Re: 12 PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for March 2025 Announced
@naruball I adored Arcade Paradise's laundry simulator. Have been wishing for a developer to just recreate that bit. Horses for courses!
