Re: Sony: We Put Time and Money into PS2 Titles on PS4

I think a timed discount for PS+ subscribers (like Sony did for FF7) would go a long way toward solving the issue of overpricing. They could probably even get away with charging $14.99 for ALL PS2 games this way...just make them half-price for PS+ for a week after release. Nintendo did something similar when it started releasing downloadable Wii games for Wii U.

Thank you for posting this! I was already able to score most of what I wanted this year from Best Buy's early access deals for Elite members earlier this week. Picked up Bloodborne, COD Ghosts, Dark Souls II, Helldivers, Star Wars Battlefront, and 3 months of PS+ for just over $100 total. Also got quite a few preowned PS3 and PS4 games from Best Buy's B2G1 sale.

@Paranoimia Question: that old IGN article says that one of the advantages of that method for adding trophy support is that games wouldn't have to be re-certified. Since adding trophies this way is now a reality (as proven by the three newly-released Star Wars PS2 games), why are we seeing the games mentioned here getting re-certified? Was the IGN article just wrong about that?

Re: Talking Point: Which PS2 Games Would You Play on PS4?

It would be great if they added PS4 and trophy support to PS2 Classics already purchased on PS3. I already have Twisted Metal: Black purchased but unplayed on my PS3, so nice to see that one announced already! A few others I have and would love to get trophies in are Red Faction I & II, the GTA "Stories" games, and Red Dead Revolver. Also, it would be really cool if these trophies displayed as being for "PS2" rather than "PS4" on the XMB!

@Tasuki I went into the beta (on PC) with no intention of buying the game, but I came out of it really wanting to own it. The sheer production values made it a more immersive experience for me than the vast majority of games are. It's hard to say at this point exactly how deep the game really is, but I liked what I played (and saw on Twitch earlier this week) enough to know that I'll definitely get my money's worth and more.
